Saying things like "sunni's are right ok " doesn't help the situation ONE BIT. I'm Muslim. I don't care about sects. I care about Allah and my faith. That's how it *really* should be. There is no need for hate or self righteousness.

It's a lie that ALL Sunnis hate Shia (and among SOME, the hate goes both ways, but not ALL Shia hate Sunni). It's a lie that ALL Sunni kill people. It's a lie that ALL Shia are oppressed by Sunni. Among Muslim majority countries, there is often ONE of those two groups in power, and a tendency to oppress members fo the other group. For instance, Saddam Hussein was Sunni, and favored Sunnis. Iraq in his time oppressed the Shia majority. There has been too much bloodshed from both sides. But there have also been many of both who lived in peace with each other; including inter-marrying.

Sunni elect their leaders by vote or appointment.

Shiite elect their leaders based on their blood relations to the descendants of Prophet Mohammed.

The rest is basically the same.

Whatever fighting happens between Sunni and Shiite in Iraq or elsewhere will usually be over political differences as to who will assume leadership positions.

Free and Fair elections is an excellent way to unite the Sunni and Shiite.
