sure, i'm a Hellenistic Pagan; I even have been talked approximately as into worship of the Greek Gods long before Percy Jackson's series got here out. of direction i don't have self belief myths actually befell; yet I do have self belief in Divine Beings inspiring those memories. Does it make a individual stupid?... hmmmn.... i assume that individual same element must be asked for every physique that believes any Gods. if it particularly is the case i assume a good number of the international is stupid. consistent with probability. i'm unlikely to tension although, I might desire to be authentic to what i think.

I believe, because other faiths fail to offer substantial scenarios for the early universe. Some claim it always was here. Some claim God is make believe. Some even claim the world sat on the back of four elephants standing on the back of a tortoise that traversed the sky. Whew. God is real, because I sense it through my interactions with what is around me. The likelihood of the universe condensing in random order through gravity and electromagnetic forces is as unlikely as rocks randomly collecting into the shapes of extinct animals and calling it truth.

Because there really is no reason to either way. Unless you are worshipping God as the fundamental animating force of the natural world and the human race, collectively and individually, I do not see how you could bother to assume that the creative force, if it even exists, is a Cloud Man who hates gays.

Cos there's no evidence.
To be able to 'believe in god' you have to suspend your perception of reality cos you 'know' at some level that invisible, imaginary, pretend sky creatures don't exist.
You also know, at some level, that if you 'pray' to yourself in the mirror, you will get the same results as when you 'pray to god'.
It's all about focusing your energies on a point and it doesn't matter if that point is an imaginary one in the sky, a candle's flame, the blood of a victim or a point of reference in or on your own body; it's about concentrating the energy and nothing more.
Prayers don't work otherwise there'd be no starving children on the planet.
I'd suggest many people pray for starving children to get enough food; I'd suggest many children pray for them selves to get enough food.
But they still starve and die. God does not exist.
QED.

I was brought up believing in God too, but I really think you should believe in what you think. Research stuff, you can't pretend you believe if you really don't. And if you just pretend, I feel that you are just lying to those around you, who may really believe.

I'm agnostic. I don't believe or disbelieve the existence of God, although I question people's perceptions and notions of Him. I consider myself a convinced agnostic. In other words, I don't know, I don't think it is possible to know, and if you think you know, I'm fairly certain you're wrong.
Oddly enough, I think I we have the same answer though, which is, I was brought up that way.

I know that God exist, and is constantly at work in my life, because without Him I would have been dead along time ago. I was once an alcoholic, drug addict. I was shooting hardcore drugs every day. I was killing my body with the drugs, and my soul was on the road to hell. God stepped in and turned my life around; He never ceases to amaze me. †

I used to believe or should I say I was forced to believe, then when I got older I slowly realized that it was nonsense, so I saw the truth and ever since then I have been freed from the bs

I hope there's a God because it would be nice if somebody up there has a handle on things and there's a good reason why things are the way they are.
