Or at least amend one? I would like to get the smog laws in my state changed to allow older cars to be exempt. It used to be this way and then the ******* changed it, now I will have to smog my car forever!!!! I'm sure other people with older classics would like things changed too so how can I get things started?

Now that it looks like the US military, of some size, will stay in Iraq permanently to fight the war on terror & more importantly to make sure that Iraq's civil war doesn't spill into the entire Mideast isn't Iraq starting to look a lot like Israel's West Bank? Another Mideast conflict, that has been raging for 40+ years, with no end in sight and no solutions to stop it?

So now on top of a disasterous Israeli-Palestianian conflict that will never end (& has been the root cause of the majority of all of Americas problems in the Mideast) we're going to have a disasterous US-Iraq conflict that will never end. What a great future Bush has created for the world?

"How are you?"
"I am well."
Can one be an adverb? If 'well' is the adverb and 'good' is the adjective.
“I am good.”

"How are you doing?"
"I am doing good." IF the 'good' in this sentence is an adjective, then it is clearly wrong. It if is a noun, then grammatically it is correct, but semantically makes no sense unless the question was "What are you doing?"

Opinions?

I'm 40 yrs old and never worn a bra. I am not large enough to need one and I make a point of never showing cleavage, wearing thick shirts, dark clothes and I layer with a jacket over lighter garments at work. I work at a private school and in my first week my boss showed me a type written page saying she copied it from the dress code in the employee manual listing a bra as a necessary item of clothing. I assured her that was NOT the dress code in the manual as I had a copy of my own and no mention of a bra was in it. I told her that I had never worn one and had no in mention of starting. (Respectfully but firmly). A year passed and no mention was made of the bra issue. Recently she reported me to HR telling them I was "over exposed" and the bra issue has once again reared its head. Is this harassment? Keep in mind that this boss also wrote me up once for having an unopened banana on my desk even though there is no rule against food. And makes staff ask permission to use the restroom

It is pretty compelling stuff. They are saying that there is a VERY real possibility that Al Qaeda will try to pull off a whole series of attack on our schools on the same day...just like...if not worse than the atrocities they did in Beslin, Russia. Until his show we never heard just how horrific it was during that siege. Are we ready to handle something like that here?

Ok I am currently 15 dpo. Missed my period yesterday. Yesterday my temp did drop just a lttle bt so I thought I was going to start. Well today my temp is back up high again. The second highest it has been all month.
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/index.php
This is a link to my chart so check it out. I am feeling good about this rise in temp today because lest month my temp dropped two days before I started.

I am feeling a little sick at times. Mainly after I eat. Not so much that I need to run to the bathroom, but kinda like my food isn't sitting well and it may come back up. I have tender breast and mainly the nipple. They definately feel fuller and maybe just a tad bigger. I know all of you are thinking, GO TAKE A TEST! But i already have, they have all been negative. since like 11 dpo, all negative. What do you guys think? Could it be and my body just isn't producing enough HCG? Should I call the doc or wait a few days and see it AF shows up? Thanks alot!

"The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of Father, Son and Holy Ghost made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism . . . Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain old-fashioned polytheism.

By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion to ever have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism. This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with by accusing other religions of the Christian fault. The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan.

The external history of Christianity consists largely of accusations that other religions rely on the worship of more than one god and therefore not the true God.

These pagans (Jews and Muslims) must therefore be converted, conquered and/or killed for their own good in order that they benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages." -- The Doubter's Companion (John Ralston Saul)

My husband and I have split about a month ago and I have went ahead and started the divorce. We have been having problems since February and have gotten to this step but never past it, well we never filed. We I have filed now and am meeting with the lawyer today. Well 2 days ago my husband says to me that he wants one more try to make this work. He says he is really going to work at it this time and prove to me that he loves me and wants us. He is leaving for Germany in December and my question is: Should I believe him, drop the divorce and give him a chance, or should I make it a legal separation and give him 6m to figure things out and then move out there if they do work, or should I just say forget it and carry on and if we get back together then we do? I have carefully considered every option and my heart is torn between all 3 and I really don't know what to do! Any advice would be great!
