My husband was on a dark highway, a road he has travelled every night for 3 years. He came up to a stop light and began to slow down, it turned green so he sped back up.( there was no vehicles at the stop light, or anywhere around ) he looked down at his spedometer coming up to the light, looked up, a few seconds later, almost right after the stop light, he saw the outline of a big truck ( he believes it was a black dump truck that was either stopped or going extremly slow, he saw no lights) he hit his brakes but was to close to do any good.He hit it going 55 (not speeding) He was ticketed for careless driving, shattered his femur,broke 2 bones in his foot and bruised a lung.The car was totaled and we only had liability (work car) I guess I am wondering how we can find out if the truck is at fault. lights not on? stopped on the highway?ect..Does anyone have experience with this situation? It just doesnt seem right.

Does anyone think that we should move on now? Does anyone feel that the US repeatedly brings this event again? My friend and I believe that its time that we should just move on with our lives now. I know that it was a very sad day for many people and many died, but it occurred 6 years ago. Do any of us hold silence for Pearl Harbor anymore? Our school doesn't, but our school held silence today.

My other question is what do you guys think of Islam? Have your views changed since Septemeber 11, 2001?

In some countries dog is eaten. However here in the US (and elsewhere) this practice is looked down upon and banned. Why is this, they're animals not people. How can you justify eating other meat, but blast the idea of eating dog. And dont tell me because dogs are smart. Pigs are extremely intelligent animals (comparable to dogs) and so are cows and such. Where does it stop being ok to eat certain animals and allow eating others? i think all animals are fair game to be eaten.

i am sso confused. this woman from a christian church told me that christians only believe in jesus christ and not mary the virgin and that catholics believe in god, jesus, and the holy spirit. and that catholics have to tell the father of the church their sins so that he can tell jesus. but christians can pray by themselves?????

i believe in god, jesus, mary the virgin, and the holy spirit. i also prefer to pray to the lord to forgive me of my sins. what would that make me????
