Personal happiness and pride in what you have accomplished; your goals and your ideals...not those of others.

Success means 'living happily most of the time' and being able to 'deal with' any bad times that may come ... but it sure does help to have a good income to go with that success ... although that is a 'plus' and not a 'requirement' to be truly 'successful' in my way of thinking.

To me, being successful means being content with yourself and your life. It is achieving your goals and being the sort of person you want to be. It is waking up in the morning and welcoming the day, knowing things are the way you want them to be. The poor man who thinks about his life and his hard work and smiles is more successful than the rich man who always walks around with a scowl.

Success is achieving the "goals" you set out to do.
Being a loving and faithfull "spouse to my spouse."
Being a wonderful and loving "parent" to my children.
Providing a good standard of living for your family.
Providing a "balance" between work and family activities.
Providing a nest egg for our retirement.
Still having my home, that my children always know their
"welcome back" to anytime, and in a family crises. Like now
with people losing their homes to forclosures, flooding,
tornado's, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.
Not measuring "success" by how much money you made.
Never losing "faith" in whatever worship you believe in.
And on leaving this earth, knowing you have did one thing
in life, that has been a "positive change" in someone elses life. <}:-})

Knowing that you've accomplished goals you've achieved. Knowing that you're kids were brought up to right and have passed that on. Having a roof over your head, food on the table, and a loving spouse and children....I'd say is successful.
