It started with Luther who wanted to change some of the corruption within the church. He didnt want to leave it.

When he did leave, he still believed in the physical presence of christ in communion. Some others who followed him didnt and over time that got diluted to being just symbolic.

Luther himself took some books out of the original new testement that had been there for almost 1200 years.

Quickly because of the lack of cohesivness and the focus on scripture alone the Luthern group split into Anglican, Prespeterian, Lutheran, Calvinist etc.

So with such a fragmented group believing whatever they want how can anyone have absolute faith in their own interpretation.

Responses I get tend to be, where does the bible say thus and so in relation to Catholics but how can a group take direction from a book that a man decided to take a lot of books out of to suit his own beliefs. It is not the orignial bible that God inspired men to put together.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Misery Loves Company!" ???

Is THAT why you Christians seem so anxious to convert the entire planet to "Christianity"???

Seriously? I don't think the white house should even have a Christmas tree during the holidays let alone a president who says he makes his decisions based on his religious principles.

Several train companies in the UK (and elsewhere I presume) now offer wireless internet on board.

I regularly use the internet on board GNER trains, and although it is very slow and regularly disconnects it is still useful.

I am curious to know how the moving train is able to connect to the internet? Does it involve some kind of satellite connection, or the mobile phone network, or is the signal sent down the overheard power lines?

I was pretty well prepared for the recent storms in chicago but many of my friends for themselves scrounging for candles and had no battery operated radio or tv's, did not know where the nearest shelters were etc... I wonder just how many people ARE prepared for a real large scale disaster? Natural or otherwise.

Liberals keep teaching the children that we "evolved" from monkeys, eventhough the bible provides concrete proof that we was created by God!

is it any wonder that the kids don't got no morals no more, and they seem to be getting stupider, and stupider?

I have been sitting down alot more than I used to, and I just started college. The main time that they bother me is when I'm laying down trying to go to sleep. Also when I sit down time to time theres a slight pain. I haven't had blood in my urine, and when I was younger I had a kindey infection and I don't remember my kindeys acctually hurting me. Could it be just from lack of water, or is it possibly something more serious

While my fiance and I were shopping for our wedding rings, I thought I saw him starring at a female. I look far better than her and we are getting married so I can't understand it. He denies starring at the woman. I understand looking, everyone does, but I definitely have a problem with starring. After this my mood for ring shopping just went away and I had no motivations to look around anymore. I have no motivations to go back and look for a ring either. I know that the whole wedding planning has been extremely stressful and our wedding is 5 days away, but am I overreacting?

I am starting volleyball soon for my third year but I have a problem. I have a weak right wrist and knee. My knee isn't that bad and I'm not that worried about it. I am really nervous about my wrist though. I sprain my wrist at least once a volleyball season, and a few times during the year in other sports too. Whenever my wrist becomes sprained my game becomes messed up for some reason and I can't get back my golden serve which my coach says I have for the rest of the season. What should I do.

With the exception of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', most concept albums fall by the wayside pretty quickly. Even Queensryche's 'Operation : Mindcrime', which in my opinion, is one of the most brilliant concepts and amazing pieces of rock music ever recorded, launched with great mainstream success, but seems to have withered away to a niche audience.

I have my own theories as to why, but I would be interested in the thoughts of others on this.
