How do you know it's your kidneys hurting? Isn't it most likely back pain?
I thought kidneys didn't actually hurt until you're very VERY VERYYYYYYY sick.

Pain in the area where the kidneys are located can be from all sorts of things -- not just the kidneys. There is no way to determine what is causing the pain without checking a variety of other symptoms. Usually, if the kidneys are causing the pain, it tends to hurt only when there is pressure on the kidneys, but this isn't always true. Kidney stones tend to produce continuous pain.
Over worked back muscles, muscle spasms, excess gas, constipation and number of intestinal parasites or infections can also cause pain in the kidney area -- these things tend to hurt even without pressure. Starting a new exercise regime can cause pain in this region, especially highly aerobic activities.
Dehydration does not cause kidney pain, until you have already shown all sorts of other problems from dehydration..
If the pain occurs when sitting or lying down, there's a good chance this could be related to some type of intestinal problem. Maybe you have made some changes in your eating habits?
Best bet is to see a doctor. If you do have a kidney infection, its not a good idea to let it go untreated -- untreated infections can cause permanent damage.

Could be both. Start drinking lots of water and cranberry juice to help flush out ur system, I know cranberry juice is for bladder but it will help, and call to make a Dr apt. Kidneys filters out the toxins in ur blood and are nothing to play or delay with.

Blood in the urine isn't the first sign of a UTI. Back pain and burning when urinating are. Increase your intake of fluids, Cranberry juice, if you can. It will lower the pH of your urine and kill bacteria. If it continues to get worse, or doesn't get better, go to a doctor or the school clinic.

It may be kidney stones. My dad had pains in his kidneys, so he went to the doctor, and low and behold, he had kidney stones. If the pain doesn't go away soon, I would suggest seeing your doctor. They can take MRI's and see what exactly is wrong.

Don't leave it any longer. See your doctor.
You don't need to be able to see the blood in your urine for it to be there. It needs tested. Make an appointment today.
