California was the home and property of Mexico. They obviously want it back. Should we give it to them? Just pack up all of the American citizens and move them out?

This was a statement by Pres. Candidate Mitt Romney. He essentially said:" OUT OF ALL THE NATIONS IN THE WORLD, THERE HAS BEEN ONLY ONE NATION THAT HAS NEVER TAKEN LAND FROM ANOTHER NATION AFTER A WAR. THAT NATION IS AMERICA. WE DID NOT TAKE LAND FROM THE GERMANS, THE JAPENESE, WE ARE THE ONLY NATION TO LOSE MANY LIVES AND NEVER TAKE LAND. THIS MAKES AMERICA UNIQUE IN THE WORLD" - mitt romney
So basically you get the gist of what he was saying. This statement naturally caused me to think - as I have the questioning nature of an ameture history buff. Of course you first think about the American Indians, but thats maybe different for the obvious reasons. However, I then think about the state of Texas,and or California. Were these lands taken from Mexico after a war? And overall I want to know what objective insights you all can give me. Whether you agree, or disagree with Mitts statement etc.? Why? or Why not?

Hi,

Bought a laptop (above details). Does not load up, only message come on screen says:

"Disassembley prohibited" and a few other details. The cursor flashes on screen but I cannot input any information onto the laptop.

Sony has said I need back up disks but I do not have these. Does any one know where I could get some of these from or alternatively what to do with the laptop?

Any help is greatly appreciated :-)

I am looking to join the Air Force, and I would like them to pay off my student loans and hopefully get the GI Bill, but when I talked to my recruiter, he said I could either have one or the other but not both. Im not too concerned about a sign on bonus, but I was wondering is there anyway I can negotiate with them, or is it set in stone?

Luke 8:10-12 speaks of a seed that saves. Jesus was sowing these seeds long before the crucifixion. And he added something about the Mysteries (secrets) of the Kingdom.

And this is not about a "sacrifice for sins," because Jesus expresses his feelings about that in Matthew 9:13... "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice."

Not knowing the secrets he was giving his disciples is quite a big deal, and I am not hearing anything about this mystery. Are theoloigians not willing to admit they don't know something?

Hi,
I design and install small power stations in remote parts of Afica & the Mid-East, to power up local water pumps, housing. ait-cons, shops and dear knows what, to improve the lives of a community.
Some have said wind - there isn'r any. some have said solar, but I would need an array the size of Wales, complete with vast banks of truck batteries and a static invertor the cost of which would not be feasible.
So I bung in huge deisel powered jobs.
They work a treat, many a megawatt on-line, job a good'un'
But they can belch forth a bit of smoke.
Am I justified ?

Hey now I have dry face, except there's trace of oil just below my eyes.

Half year ago my face is just too oily, and if I don't wash my face at the morning, my face will get oily at night. Today I just don't wash face (I don't going out from home), and there's no trace of oil.

Is it normal? I mean back then I just wishing my face would be not oily. I even worse when I was 14 years old, and now the wish comes true. How this happen? Maybe you could share too...
