Hi,

Bought a laptop (above details). Does not load up, only message come on screen says:

"Disassembley prohibited" and a few other details. The cursor flashes on screen but I cannot input any information onto the laptop.

Sony has said I need back up disks but I do not have these. Does any one know where I could get some of these from or alternatively what to do with the laptop?

Any help is greatly appreciated :-)

You should be able to get them from Sony for a moderate fee. However, they will not help you if it is broken. How cheap was the laptop? You my have bought a lemon.

Givving the specific information on your SONY isn't neccessary when it comes down to somone has bee doing something with a machine that they didn't have any idea what they were doing.
The person that sold you the computer should have furnished you with all the software disc's that came with the machine.
1 of 2 things either you didn't know the person and they were a crook.
Or, you knew them and they made an honest mistake, but I doubt it.
Now you are stuck with taking the machine in and have it diagnosed and a new Operating System Installed on it, not to mention they might have strpped it down.

The disks should be available from Sony.

Did you buy this machine second-hand ? Then the seller may have the disks as well.

Did you see the machine working ? If not, you may have been had.

Good luck.
