Prayers, protests and a lingering disgust with the government's response to Hurricane Katrina marked the disaster's second anniversary Wednesday, with a Presidential visit doing little to mollify those still displaced by the storm.

Clarence Russ, 64, took a dim view of politicians' promises as he tried to put the finishing touches on his repaired home in the city's devastated Lower 9th Ward.

"There was supposed to be all this money, but where'd it go? None of us got any," said Russ, whose house was the only restored home on an otherwise desolate block.

▼▼ Didn't the government send millions of dollars? Or am I wrong on this, what did they do with this money? So am I mistaken, if a fire, or flood damages my home, I can call the President and he will rebuild it for free? What about us Californians who live with earthquakes, will the government rebuild our homes and businesses for free also? Why isn't the City responsible for helping their own? I am sorry, I don't get it.

I don't know anyone on here be they Pro or Anti that agrees with illegal immigration.Nor open borders.The only differences I do see is our understanding of what has created the situation and how to handle it.So are facts like the Trade Agreements which have encouraged this mass immigration not understood or are they just lost in all the uproar over people illegally immigrating?

I painted my kitchen olive green a few months ago and today I decided I wanted a red accent wall, so I painted it Roasted Tomato...I want it to match my pottery and rug that I purchased while we were stationed in Italy. My table is white tile top and my cabinets are a darker brown. Do you think these 2 colors work well with each other, and please dont tell me to get tan, taupe, beige...i cant stand brown.

well I have been making him lunch for the past 2 weeks, bcuz hes been telling me that he wants to start taking lunch anyway.. I found out he gave half of his lunch to a co-worker I speak to her on a daily basis u can say were friends not to close but getting there anyway I cant help it but it kinda makes me upset bcuz I make it for him and if he gives half away obviously he still hungry and will eventually buy.. which is the reason why weve started to brown bag it were on a budget.. am I exagerating??? serious answers please.
