got sent to and where it is now. What do I do? Ive only got the license plate number.

You can call the people that held the note on the car and ask them who they had repo the car. Then you call them and ask about the car. The chances are extremely good that the car has already been sold at auction. The lien holder may try to get additional money from you if the car didn't sell for the loan amount. If there was extra money left over after the fees for the repo and the loan amount, then they owe you the extra money back.

More than likely too late now. most impound yards will get rid them at auction if they sit that long.
