These guys are taking on Newspapers and countering their reporting, and originate with former White House staff.

In July 2006, VFF—calling itself the Vets for Freedom Action Fund (VFF-AF)—registered[6] with the IRS as a 527 committee national lobby. It was, in essence, a Republican front group managed by Republican-affiliated public relations[7], media[8], legal[9], and political consultants, including former White House spokesman Taylor Gross, to defeat candidates who advocate an end to the US occupation of Iraq.

I'm in my last year of high school. I have a friend who now ignores me because of someone else. We've been friends for about 8 years now. Just some months ago, a new person called Jade, started my school. My friend, dave, became good friends with her. Now all of a sudden he has completely forgotten me. He even passes me in corridors without even saying a word to me. He deleted my contact from his yahoo messenger. Now i just found out he had a birthday party and didn't even invite me? how can that be??? we tell each other everything. I'm really sad about it, and now i don't even know whether i want anymore friends, if that's what friendship is all about, i'd rather be alone. He recently sent me a three word email saying 'how's it going'. But i didn't reply. He pretends as if he doesn't know what he's done. I think i'm done with friends as this isn't the first time this has happened. Maybe i'm better off alone.

It's not that I dont get along with them, I do, and they love me a lot. But deep within, I cannot compare them to my own parents and I just avoid talking to them sometimes beacuse I feel uncomfortable. What would be the best way to deal with this kind of situation

They hate her on principle, because she's a liberal.

Is this rational, or is it a sign that they're knee-jerk hystericals who can't use reason?

My hated teams are the Lakers, Red Wings, Raiders and Yankees, but my reasoning isn't because it's popular to hate them but because they all play my favorite teams often and I have pretty strong memories attached to the rivalries between these teams and my faves.
That said my most hated team is the Red Wings, as there would never be any circumstance on the planet that would make me ever, even for a single game, want them to win.
How about you?

We have bigger problems than illlegal Immigration! Our own citizens cannot get along in this day and age! This is 2007 people why is this still going on and why isn't the government stepping in to do something? This makes me very sad! I cannot believe people are still this ignorant! According to the web page there are still shops that REFUSE service to other races! How dare they!? This is a free country! In my opinion, these are the people that we need to get rid of! I am talking about the racism in Jena, Louisianna. I wonder how many other towns are like this.

If we believe the Genesis account, then we can take it two ways:

Life was created in 6 (24 hour) days, which goes against science

Or that life was created in 6 erra's, which does not directly go against science.

The Day-Age Theory seems to have some merit, afterall there was no Hebrew word to describe an erra or time span...other than day (yôma). For example, the (Hebrew) scriptures reffered to "Gods day" (using the same Hebrew word 'yôma' for a different meaning). This was not a litiral 24 hour peroid, but a peroid of time. Therefore, the Hebrew word day (yôma), needs to be translated into the right english word according to the context.

Okay, P&S is supposed to be a self-sustaining cyber world so please don't make me have to take this to another category. The volume on my laptop is very low, and I can't figure out how to turn it back up. The volume thingy in my tool bar is all the way up...where else do they hide volume controls on this thing. I'm running Windows XP. Help, please. :)

Serious answers only!!!

He gave us dominion and let us inhabit the earth and WE are the ones to blame for the way things have turned out!!! WE are the ones to blame for the countless messes and mishaps of this world. God cries because of the manner in which we have ran things. It is a shame that you blame God, the one that loves us so much and the one who sent His only Son to Die on the cross to pay the price IN FULL for the Sins of the ENTIRE world. We as humans should be ashamed of what we have done to this once beautiful world we USED to live in. You amongst others need to look in the mirror if you're going to point fingers at someone to blame for the problems of this world. God didn't want it to be the way it is, but WE allowed it to happen.... not HIM!!

Would it be possible to put a satellite into an elliptical orbit around Mars?

The orbit I am thinking of would ideally be closer to Mars's North and south poles than the other parts of Mars.
