We have bigger problems than illlegal Immigration! Our own citizens cannot get along in this day and age! This is 2007 people why is this still going on and why isn't the government stepping in to do something? This makes me very sad! I cannot believe people are still this ignorant! According to the web page there are still shops that REFUSE service to other races! How dare they!? This is a free country! In my opinion, these are the people that we need to get rid of! I am talking about the racism in Jena, Louisianna. I wonder how many other towns are like this.

As to the shops that refuse service to me, I think it's great. Helps me to figure out WHO I DON"T WANT TO GIVE MY MONEY TOO.
It's sad about the school though. You can't cure racism in a day. I tried, and trust me, I got a similar response. THe best solution is soft words. I tried it on a few here, and got some positive response. Calling people racist and attacking them seems to make people more racist. Just don't sound too preachy.

Of course this is where you see the highest concentration of racist stuff on Y!A from all sides of the immigration issue. That is a messed up little town! Scary stuff.I would pack up and move ASAP.No matter what race I was.
My mom went through that sort of BS when she was a young girl in the 1930's in Conn.Her Grandmother was a Native American (Mohawk)and she was raising my mother and aunt since their mother died.They were often asked not too nicely to leave stores and restaurants.Racism sucks!
It is the year 2007, when is this going to stop?It has been going on way too long as it is.

I cannot believe people are still so ignorant as to believe illegal immigration has not created a huge negative impact on our once great nation.
Illegal aliens commit their first crime by entering the USA illegally, they continue to commit crimes every minute of ever day they remain living here illegally, and working here illegally, including serious felonies, like working with a stolen social security number, and a significant percentage of illegal aliens commit theft, drug smuggling and drug dealing, prostitution, rape, murder, etc.....
This makes me very sad!
Why is it that some people are just so ignorant that they refuse to admit all illegal aliens are criminals?
This is 2007 why is illegal immigration still going on and why isn't the governement stepping in and deporting these dishonest, illegal alien criminals?

Right now no Political party is willing to get involved in a Racial dispute. The Dem's are scared of loosing the Minority vote. The Lib's just want to talk crap about everyone else, the Republicians have been critisized too much, Con's can't make up their own minds.

In that city they have a barber shop that refuses service to minorities to this day.

These establishments need to be closed down. That kind of prejudiced is not tolerated by our LAWS. They need to be reported.
Now, in the case of illegal criminal aliens, they all need to be deported. They have NO rights in this country whatsoever.
