Boy, I hope Weis doesn't screw this one up...When in doubt, you go with experience...I think Evan Sharpley should start, and Jimmy Clausen can ease into it later into the season...They shouldn't throw Jimmy into Michigan with no experience at all yet...I don't think Jones will be good enough in the long haul...He's an option QB, and Holtz won the championship with the option, but Weis is a passing offense type of guy, not an option coach...I think Sharpley should start against Georgia Tech, and then he and Clausen should get equal reps with the first team in practice, and then work Clausen into games as can be without losing them...

Hopefully anyone but Clausen.
The arrogance he showed, buy showing up to announce his signing was galling.
He needs to earn the right to be the man. This is the School that gave the world Joe Montana. The Kid who had just smashed every single Notre Dame passing record was still there, and this little pissant has the gall to show up, flash his dinky little high school rings, and proclaim he's gonna add 4 more champ rings to the scool?
Clausen is an arrogant turd. But to some degree, I hope they start him against USC, so that those guys can knock the crap outta Boy Wonder, and teach him the value of proving himself before he runs his mouth.
My Choice to Start? Demetrius Jones all the way.

Evan Sharpley should be the starting QB for ND, he's the one with the most experience, but i don't think he's gonna get the job, Charlie Weis gonna give it to Jimmy Clausen. He's everybody All-American, but no matter who's start for them they gonna have a miserable season, and USC gonna beat them by 40 point this year. Fight On!

I believe it will be Jimmy Clausen, but I don't think they have announced who will be the starter for sure. However, my money is on Clausen.

evan and demetrius i think will get the nod. clausen is a great talent but he makes impatient hurried deciscions ( not mature enough to really handle the reins of a team) give em one more year and he will be the starter.
