Most cities' Sunday paper has commodities listed--gold, silver, futures, etc.--in the business section. That will tell you the current trading price of silver.

Edit: Looks like silver's running just under $12 per ounce, at $11.93.

Even if I gave you a value it would be wrong tomorrow or the next day. Silver is sold by the troy weight on what the spot price is the moment you are selling it. A dealer pays less than spot and sells for more than spot. This way he makes a profit. I am not so sure if dealers would bother to fool with silver drops. They would have to have it made into a bar and that is costly. Your best bet here is a jeweler.Hope i have pointed you in the right direction. The price of silver is usually listed in newspapers except on weekends but remember it changes all the time.

I believe around $12. an ounce right now

50 grams should be around $15.-$25.

A kilo should be around $200.

Just guessing. I collect old silver but haven't paid attention to pricing or value lately since this is long term for me

probably around 10-15 dollars an ounce?
but to a jeweller... it may be less???

50 grams is two ounces?
so maybe $20-30 bucks max?

there are 28 grams to an ounce? (how i know that? don't ask)
so you have about two ounces.
That would be about $30 bucks.
