On September 21st there will be a great alligator hunt in the sewers of Little Rock ,Arkansas.Apparently we have 150-275 alligators living in the sewers and reservoirs of Little Rock. There is great concern that they will soon mate and local leaders are afraid baby alligators will start coming up through toilets. They have issued 40 permits for the great hunt. ( Which I have heard is going to be on ESPN 2) On the day of the hunt they want no one to flush, do laundry, etc. so as not to hamper the hunters. While I find the idea of killing the gators incredibly cruel - I have to laugh at the idea of 40 Billy Bobs skulking through the sewers of a major city in the dark armed with guns and trying to shoot alligators. The possibilities for mayhem are endless when you think about it. Guns and sewer gas? Armed men in a confined space? Personally, I am rooting for the gators. What are your opinions about what sounds like a bad Saturday Night Live skit?

It seems to me that the more educated a person the less likely he is to be religious and the poor families seem to embrace it. Is this because poor families are holding on to religion as their one last hope? Studies have even shown that when people go from from rags to riches that their religious beliefs go out the window. Is this because they feel their prayers have been answered or because they figured out that their hours of praying have gotten no results and their wealth was a product of their own actions?

My husband and I have been seperated since November of 2004. I moved here to florida with my daughter in 2005 we have lived here ever since. I sent my daughter up to see him this past may on a verbal agreement that I have her during school he has her summers and we share holidays but recently i bought plane ticket and he did not put her on the plane and doesn't want to send her home what can i do all i want is my little girl home with me she was supposed to start school the 20th and shes enrolled here, I have records showing that she lives here but we are still married and i can't afford another plane ticket let alone a divorce please help.

Every week people are dying in Iraq. Last week a chopper went down killing 14. So why does the deaths of 8 dogs make bigger news than the deaths of 14 people? Last I checked people were more important than animals. Couple that with the fact that in my local mall they have a gourmet dog biscuit store... What the hell has happened to our society where animals are suddenly more important than people?

I am 5'2" and 165lbs. 170 before I started the diet. Within 4 days I lost 5 lbs but I still need to lose more to get down to a healthy weight. I'm taking vitamin supplements to help with the loss but I have been reading that severely overweight people shouldn't do the 1000 calorie diet. I want to lose weight fast though. According to the food guide website I should be consuming 600 more calories then I have been. But I really don't want to and I do fine without them. Should I stop the 1000 calorie diet or should I keep going? Do you think my constant exhaustion is from the loss?

When using freshly ground (not instant coffee)...

What's the best method of preparation: percolator, cafetiere, filter cup or other? should the water be boiling or off the boil?

How much coffee do you use, approximately? How long do you leave it to stand?

Any tips for the final presentation? eg. if it is a mocha coffee, how would you serve it?

nb. We have tried filter cups but found they are not suitable for very finely ground coffee.
