No, they are different. Primer is meant the prepare the skin for the foundations.

Hey!
Actually primer and foundation are two different things (too bad they aren't the same thing...one extra step in the morning!). There are several different types of primers: face, eye, and lip. But their basic purpose is to prepare the area for long-lasting and smooth application (of foundation, eye shadow, lipstick, etc.). Generally primers are applied after moisturizer and before the makeup product (such as foundation), and serve to keep the makeup looking fresh and last long throughout the day. Hope this helps :)

No - face primer goes on before foundation.
Some primers are clear, some have colour and they can be used alone (depending on the colour) but they are meant to make foundation last longer and look better.

Yes! But it depends what you use. If its kind of watery of watered down it is a primer. If its ticker and more oily its foundation. I usually add a bit of water or eye drops to foundation to water it down. Then I apply loose powder with a brush. DOn't follow what the magazines say about beauty. Most stuff they say apply to nighout in NEW York and not the average town. U don't want to look like a clown in an average town. Just blend in and relax. you don't need to look like a supemodel to enjoy your life.

A primer helps to even out your skin tones. Foundation provides coverage.

No, the primer is usually a different color from the foundation and is used to cover any flaws in the skin before you apply the foundation. I use it because I have acne scars.

umm i dont think so... cos i once saw how opra puts on make up and her primer was this super white cream that basically smooths out the skin completely... and then her foundation brought back her natural (or unnatural in this case of makeup) color of skin... and then she applied the other stuff on top like eye shadow etc...

As a guy I no next to nothing about makeup. but if I was to aply it to say body work on cars primer is a conditioner and foundation is a base,hence conditioner before base. get it ... from this guys point of view. hope this helps....
