that the majority of the discussion here is about whether or not god(s) exists? I think that is a vast improvment over, say, 50 years ago.
Although it's frustrating that we won't see an end to this particularly bloodthristy superstition in our lifetime, we can at least rest assured in the knowledge that future generations can enjoy the benefit of the groundwork we are laying for them. That's if the religious people don't kill our entire species off in the meantime, of course!
Imagine how frustrated people like Galileo must have been, but we can look back now and shake our heads at the way he was persectued.
