I have sleeping problems.It started about a yera ago when I started drinking Red Bull.I drank 5 a week but I stopped 3 months ago.Anyways I can only sleep when I'm EXTREMELY tired...what can I do to fall asleep faster?

Please explain to me the theory that if you are "too available" to a man, he will reject you.? I have spent 5 years with MY GUY and the last 4 months at his side trying to take care of him...he had a heart attack. I have bathed him, fed him, even helped him pee in a urinal and ...guess what..he wants to throw me out of the house we have shared and made into a home. Yes, I am leaving but I just want an answer...WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

It was once thought that you could solve earths problems by thought alone. But now that our knowledge of science is increasing so fast, philsophers are unable to keep up. Since the discovery of the quantum world, logical thought has proved useless. Is it about time we get rid of the word philosopher and replace it with 'scientist' or 'psychologist' etc? Do they have any place now in solving the worlds problems?

My mom has had severe foot pain for the last year, it get's so debilitating that she can't walk at times. She has been seeing a podiatrist, who referred her to physical therapy, which she has been going to and following through on, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I told her that it may get worse before it get's better. I know that losing weight would help her immensly, but other than that, I'm not really sure. I know what helps me with my feet is when I (or my husband) squeeze my heel pretty hard for about 10 seconds, and then let go and massage the area, and when I stick my fingers in between my toes and spread them apart, and I have told my mom that but she is to afraid to try it, I have been trying to find a website to support my theory, but have had no success. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Oh yeah, she has heel spurs.

While we are separated by different languages, we all share the same intuitive knowing unless, of course, it has been "educated" out of us by the misuse of language. The problem is that most of us have been partially alienated from our understanding, so it trails behind us Conscience.
For this reason, we are extremely sensitive to words. We tend equate language with reality, so that a mere word affect us in the same way as the thing for which it stand. For example, someone calls you a fool. (Like they do that to me often on YA-R&S). So, you react, you become upset, and you act like a fool (Even if you are not, you become one by reacting to words!)

Words, except when they are loaded with meaning in order to convey understanding, can be confusing and confounding.
One person uses words to say the right thing. Another person, with rhetorical slyness, twists the facts, but his words go down just as well. Which one do you believe ? What is truth ? Confusing ?

My real dad wants to walk me down the aisle, but one time when I was angry with him I asked my Mum's boyfriend who she's been with for ages, he's more of a dad to me than my dad, I sometimes refer to him as dad2 as a joke, anyways both are under the impression that their walking me down the aisle, if I deny my dad the duties of FOB it'll hurt him and the other one will get offended, can both walk me down the aisle or is there some rule that only the father can do that?

I am going into my sophmore year. I am in all honors classes and had an unweighted 93 average. I played football during my freshman year and I wont play anymore. I play baseball out of school. Do you have any simple pleasures, or just random things that make you happy.

I have many. Here are a few I can think of offhand...

fire (in any form)
firefighters (the profession itself)
the smell of fresh cut wood
old blackboards (not green, but black)
anything old or "classic"
old buildings
abandoned buildings/condemned buildings (not sure why but they attract me)
the sound of a rooster in the morning
other animals
the sun
people and real life
driving with a sunroof open
air and the feeling after a good workout

I know some of those may sound weird, but what can I say? I like them. I'm sure there are many more. What about you? What are yours?
