Just the fact that the other person might get really really mad and in a mad rage delete you from all their accounts and get back at you somehow.......But then again, maybe not!

I suppose it would depend largely on how they came into possession of the card. Think of it the same way you would think of cash. If they found the card in a parking lot, there is virtually no hope of finding the actual owner, so it's fair game. If however, he took it from another person's possession--as in from a purse, or if he found it in a community area of his house where it was clear the owner had left it, expecting it to remain there, that's stealing and can be prosecuted as such.

In fact, most gift cards actually state on them that the merchant is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

And legally, you would probably have a difficult time proving that the card actually belonged to you.

Since a gift card is not individual, that is to say, there is no name on it, it is legal tender for anyone who happens to be the bearer. Pursuing such an 'offense' would be useless. Just take your lumps and be more careful with your cads!

well if that someone is not having permission to the real owner, the owner and that someone can fight with each other or maybe the real owner can report the stealer to the police..

but if you find it somewhere like in the street or else where, and no name or anything on it, then use it. consider yourself lucky. nothings wrong
