Say you meet a guy you've known for a while, and he's nice, handsome, and funny. But he sells drugs, smokes weed, got his liscence suspended for driving drunk, and got kicked out of college... lol. would you even be friends with him, and take him around town, believing there is a reason for it all, or not even bother, realising you can't change him and leave him be?

Problem: Bought anacharis and planted them to fish tank a week ago but there are not growing and look unhealthy (yellow leaves, leaves falling off, etc

Facts
-15 gallon fish tank
-Had tank for a year with fish
-15 watts fluorescent lamp made by All-Glass Aquarium
-I have 4 goldfish (tank overstock but goldfish were a gift. I didnt buy them. dont blame me)
-2 apple snails
-Do water changes weekly 20-30 percent.
-Filter for 30 gallons with CARBON
-NO ALGAE the entire time I had the tank.
-Light ONLY received from lamp. No window where I have the tank.
-Turning the lights for 10-14 hours daily AFTER getting the anacharis.
-Used fertilizer YESTERDAY, no effect.
-Water is room temp or cold (goldfish)

Hypothesis
-Activated carbon sucking nutrients / lack of iron
-Light not strong enough
-Not enough CO2

Other facts
- Answers must be from ppl who actually and successfully planted in their aquariums. Why? Im getting too many answers that contradict themselves. I dont know what to believe

I'm looking to go on a diet to lose between 10-15 lbs. I sit in a cube for 9 hours a day, so it's easy for me to be a snacker. I need to find a diet that will still allow me to eat healthily while I'm losing the weight. I know that the Atkins Diet is popular but, I heard that it can also be damaging to your health if you cut out all carbs. I also want to stay away from "crash dieting." I want something that I can stick with years down the road. Any ideas?

The Crime Gun Identification Act would require that starting in 2010, new models of semi-automatic handguns be equipped with technology that allows police to match bullet shells found at a crime scene to the handgun that fired the bullets. The vote this year in the Senate is expected to be extremely close. WHY? Do some people care more about the money they get from the gun lobby than they do about the people they are supposed to represent? Why would anyone in their right mind be against a common-sense bill like this?

The "GUN GRABBERS" seem to be working over time to disarm the American people if they get their way pretty soon civillian magazine capacity will only be 1 round! (then a ball & powder musket?!?!)

Ever since the first war (Afganistan) .45 acp rounds have become less & less pleantiful, the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia (and many other states) have an arbitrary ban on anything they loosely deem to be an "assault weapon" or "high-capacity" magazine, some how they have even been able to include standard capacity magazines also as a no-no!

If there are all these big bad boogie-man Taliban terrorists running around and supposed sleeper cell Al-qaeda bad guys wating to "ACTIVATE" in America WHY is the US Govt DISARMING all the law abiding citizens in this country?

WTF?!?!

Are the New World Order entities within our own leadership trying to clear the way for the Martial Law "Blue Helmet" UN Troops to kill Americans during their Coup D'etat for their One World Government..

The new system i got put in it has nxg pro series speakers they are mounted on the roof of the house on top of the living room. The model number is Nx-PRO8030 high performance 8" ceiling mount speaker system. AND the Amp i got with it is Sherwood DV62CLR-S
I am wondering if i got ripped off or if i should get a better system like as if this is a weird brand that will suck and its not rialiable. What do you think.

I'd like to hear from someone who knows art. In my (ignorant, perhaps) opinion, abstract art looks like someone let my baby girl loose with a paintbrush and a pallette. I know it's supposed to be the artist's feelings and moods, but I would also be able to do that. So please explain what makes one abstract painting different than another.
