NOx is not nitrous oxide. It's oxides of nitrogen. NOx is the total of NO, NO2, NO3 etc that comes out the vehicle exhaust. It's some pretty nasty stuff and the amount a vehicle can produce is regulated by the EPA. Not good for the environment and not good for us. Nitrous oxide is a different gas altogether. It's more commonly known as laughing gas and used by the medical profession.

First of all: it seems clear that this is your work. You're already on the internet, why try to go for even MORE anonymity by pretending it was written by someone else? Second: you need to fix the spelling errors. You can type with poor spelling and grammar online, but if you're writing prose you'd best be sure your spelling and grammar are top notch. Third: teen drama stories about your life (or even a made-up life) are rarely interesting unless something IMPORTANT happens. Parties are not important. Getting drunk is not important. If you're writing a realistic story about teens, you'd best have something moving. Fourth: you can't be so sensitive about your writing. When you submit to magazines, they will simply reply with a "No." These critiques WILL help you out.

Nitrous Oxide...makes your car go faster. On fast and furious type movies, when they hit the little buttons on their steering wheels and they get a boost...it's because they're adding nitrous oxide to their systems.
They probably meant NOS which is the abbreviation for Nitrous Oxide...if they really did mean NOX I'm not sure

NOS/Nitrous oxide is an oxidizing agent used to increase an engine's power output by allowing more fuel (usually gasoline or alcohol) to be burnt at a faster rate.
