I would take her and some of her friends to the park, that is always fun and doesn't cost anymoney.

You could have a little get together on Saturday with just your family that would not cost any money.

Then plan a little party for the following weekend! Don't worry about a late party...your daughter would love it no matter what the date is! That way you would have some time to make a little money, get a cake or some cupcakes, and send out invitations or make some calls to invite a few friends!

If you are limited on money, don't worry about all the bells and whistles! Just invite a few friends, get some decorations and a present at the dollar store, and make colorful cupcakes for the kids!

3 is still young enough you don't need a big to-do for there party anyway. they are too young to remember or appreciate it. One of my Friends did something that was really cool for her daughter's birthday . She made small cakes ( a little bit larger than a cupcake) up for each child that would be there for them to decorate for themselves to eat.
Just get together with a few friends either in the park or your back yard. have some cake and ice cream and let the kids run around and play.Of course take lots of pictures.

Why not try planning her party for acouple months later than her actual birthday.. I do that with my sons who are both born in the summer.. Instead of having 2 parties.. It works out quite well and they don't know the party isn't exactly on their birthday.. Then you can spring for cake, ice cream or a special location... Or try going to a park for a picnic, the library for a craft or social gathering.. Or maybe just a small party at your house with face painting or story time... good luck

Here is a craft idea....take an old magizine, and depending on the abililty and ages of the children, pre-cut out, or let them cut out, pictures....just glue or tape them onto construction paper and have them trade off as a party favor. Also, what about taking some clothes pins, marbles, or other small things, and haveing them throw them into a bucket or something like that, as another game.
God Bless!!

You can have a perfectly fun party with just cake & ice cream at a park or in your yard. Post an ad on craigslist in the kids & baby section and ask if anyone has extra decorations, plates or party games that they would donate to you. You'd be surprised at the kindness of others sometimes.

How about a small sleepover. If the friends she has are close enough that their parents will allow it. Otherwise like someone else suggested, you could go to a park or the swimming pool. How about a tea party?

Go to your local library, they have brain teaser books that require only pen, paper, and your skills. Also you can fill bowls with different things, ex. cooked pasta, flour and water mixed, sand, flower petals, etc. then you blindfold all the young guests and have them stick their hands in and take a guess at what is in the bowl. Also at the library they have books on arts and crafts from your cupboard. good luck.

You could bake a cake at home or make cupcakes, or you could make ice cream cupcakes, if she likes to play dress up have her friends come over and give them some clothes to dress up in and jewelry to play with, you could have some games like musical chairs, or pin the tail on the donkey. You could have them make some crafts.

take her to the park. if you can, bake her a cake, buy a few balloons and make it a party at the park. I have done my son's last 2 bday parties at the park because all i had to pay for is food. He had a blast.

Take her to the playgound. Look online for one near you that is designed for disable children. Just type in playgrounds and your city into a search engine and see what it brings up.
