When you start talking to a girl for the first time, is it really important to be funny. because when I first meet girls I am kind of shy and cant think of anything clever to say, but in reality I am actually really funny, all my friends say I am the funniest person they know. So I am basically asking if it is important to be funny at first.

Timmy’s father was a rector in a small church, and when the bishop came to visit, Timmy was very excited. The bishop arrived late in the evening, well past Timmy’s bedtime, but the next morning the boy asked his father if he would be allowed to meet the important guest.
His father thought about this and decided to let Timmy take the bishop his tea and wake him up, the following instructions were issued: 'first, knock on the door of the bishop's room and then say to him: "it's the boy, my Lord, it's time to wake up"'
Timmy rehearsed his lines, repeating them over and over. Finally the tea was ready and he picked up the tray and headed for the bishop's room. A few minutes later, the bishop, still in his pajamas, was seen running out the door and down the lane
The father turned to his son and said: what happened?'
'I’m sorry,' said Timmy. 'I was so nervous I messed up my lines. I knocked on the door and said: "its the Lord, my boy, your time is up!"'

Which came first, the am/pm time or the 24 hour clock? It seems the 24 hour clock makes more sense and would be much easier.

Does anyone know a little history on the topic?

I can understand if one is performing below expectations, but what is the reasoning behind a verbal warning for not exceeding the expectations? I understand that for many, exceeding the expectations is a goal, but for others, the bare minimum level of accepted performance is just fine? Is there an ulterior motive by management for that employee? Is it a sign that management cares enough to use a tactic such as this to strongly suggest that the employee make an impression for some plans for advancement? Or is it management taking advantage of an ambitious employee? Your thoughts are appreciated.

I wonder how else I could have contributed to humanity. Was this the right path for me? Did I do the right thing? Or did I goof off too much time away? Should I have built housing for homeless people instead? Or have I helped you people?

Do you believe that those running for president, who currently hold a public office, are truly serving the office which they were elected to?

I find it hard to believe that, with the constant campaigning, many of those who have announced their intent to run for President are actually taking the duties of their current office seriously. How can they expect us to believe that they have the best interests of their constituents in mind, when they spend so much of their time focusing on their candidacy rather than the job which they were elected to do.
