Yes I do now. had my own home for many years. I love it my senior unit. My kitchen is well equiped. If I had to I could get by with a cooktop(?) or microwave. If I don't feel like cooking I just order a mountain mike veggie pizza or one of the restaurants will deliver or Schwans home delivered meals. Everyone here is still mobile.

I honestly considered a Senior housing (Siezure World) before I bought a home....I know many people who live their (big, big community with its own zip code and town name)...found one comment in common with all...it was Ambulance Run.... now, after thinking about that, I decided I didn't want to live where all my friends depended upon public transportation, where youngins' could not buy, where no children were allowed, and where an Ambulance probably meant a For Sale sign was going up soon. So I purchased a home in a neighborhood with a mix of adults, kids of all ages, (yes, even teens...the bane of man's existance). And I have never regretted the choice. I don't cook, but I would NOT be happy with just a cooktop and Microwave...who knows, maybe next month I will take up cooking (I seriously doubt it), but ...you never know.

My husband and I are in the process of downsizing. I'd
like an easier home to live in. After 35 years of cooking,
I'd be perfectly happy with a microwave and cooktop.
Makes life easier. When you get to our age, you want things easier. We don't live in a senior community.

Yes. Even though I have a full 'normal' kitchen, the only thing I've used an oven for in 40 years is to store my laptop (because of the chance of the batteries catching fire). The range top used to get some use, but that has been years ago.
Who has the time to cook? There are so many more interesting things to do (golf, tennis, swimming, dancing, dating, etc.).

I live in a subsidized senior apartment complex. I find an oven is an essential for roasting, baking and pizza. Like how can man live without pizza? And the delivery kind is so expensive.

I am in a senior housing building, we have a stove and an oven and a wonderful kitchen full of cupboards and an eating bar. If you are going to an assisted living place you can have a nuke, no oven no stove and no coffee. Source, cared for many elderly people living in them.

No, I don't now, but will definitely say, I love to bake...so yes, an oven would be a necessity to me! (and not a toaster oven!)
I make baked goods for work, neighbors, get-togethers, holiday gifts, etc.

No, I do not. I live in my own home with everything I need. Full kitchen, three bathrooms for my bladder. Four bedrooms, in case I choose to "sleep around", three car garage (keeps me from having to wear my glasses when parking), an outside kitchen (trying to inspire hubby to cook) and it is just the two of us....when he is upstairs....I'm all alone to roam and try to remember which room I was just in. You?
