When you start talking to a girl for the first time, is it really important to be funny. because when I first meet girls I am kind of shy and cant think of anything clever to say, but in reality I am actually really funny, all my friends say I am the funniest person they know. So I am basically asking if it is important to be funny at first.

It's important to be yourself. Don't be too shy but don't try to hard. Be friendly and sweet and once you feel more comfortable with her your natural humor will come out and at that point it should seal the deal. Good Luck!

I think it's fun to be funny, i think girls apprecate when a guy is funny, as long as it isn't extremely stupid funny, or putting a woman down funny, a fun complimiment, or making fun of something politely is always a great ice breaker, for most people. If they are too serious, and don't find the humor in you funny, They are most likely stuck up or too serious anyways. And you really dont deserve something like that...
You want someone who finds you funny, and enjoys your company, so dont take it personal, and be glad that you know better, if a girl doesn'st find the humor, in your icebreaker. Because that girl was NOT meant for you, or maybe she'll come around...
Personally you should appreciate a girl who finds you funny, and enjoys your company even if you tend to not be serious.

not really, if you can then that's a bonus, but a lot of girls are looking for someone who is shy and sweet too. If you're quiet and a bit sensitive at first and then add in the funny trait, then you're on a roll for a long relationship. You'll have shown the girl that not only can you make her laugh and keep her happy but you can talk about things and communicate with her too. I know that like everyone says this, but it's actually true, just be yourself, dont try and change anything of your personality to be like hers, girls like a bit of a difference between them and the boyfriends. trust me.

Not necessarily, you can bring out some of your funny personality but don't try too hard and fall in the clown category, because only very few girls like clowny guys.
Stick up with 50/50 shy and funny, I have learned girls think kind of shy guys are "cute".

Some girls, like myself, think it is really hot when a guy is shy and sensitive, but if you are not forward enough with your freindship after you have established a relationship, she could think you are not interested.
if your looking for friendship just smile alot till you get comfortable with your surroundings
If you meet girls that you are interested in that like funny: be funny but remember to be yourself. there is nothing worse than going out with a guy who faking, and when you get intimate "surprise" it ruins trust.

not necessarily. it really depends if you are interested in that girl or not. but then you can't be TOO funny all the time. that makes it annoying. so, tell that girl that you're a funy guy the first time. next time she'll know what kind of person you are.

As far as I know girls like guys who are funny. But don't stress out, usually the first time you talk to someone you like, you become kinda nervous. It happens to all of us, just get to know her and your sense of humor will kick in eventually

When a woman laughs, it releases a hormone in her brain to be instantly attracted to the "thing" that made her laugh. Humor is very important to a woman regardless of looks. If you have a humorous personality, you are set. so yeah....Its very important to make her laugh.

not really. girls like guys that are nice and sweet. funny is a plus, too, but as long as you treat people the way they deserve and be the best person you could be..girls will like you.

i like it wen guys r funny wen i first meet them, but dont go over the top and look like ur trying 2 impress them, and i f u r trying 2 impress them find out if they like 2 laugh cuz if they dont it doesnt really work out
