Religion is a cultural thing. But it gives people hope. You have less proof that there isn't a god than there is. I'm a former atheist, but now an agnostic. Why would you strive to take away hope, make immature comments, and destroy the morale of over 98% of the world population? I believe that you have moral values, but religion is the foundation of a democratic society and a stable society, at that. Look in the past. Everytime someone tried to take religion away from people (Nazi Germany, USSR, etc.) it has destroyed the society. If you're an anarchist, fine. Then it makes complete sense. But why do you have to be so immature about it? There is no concrete proof that there is a God, and no concrete proof that there isn't. There's a difference between blindly following religion (which not many people do anymore, mind you) and thinking for yourself. There would be a universal sense of egomania if we all thought there was no God. Tell me: What started the big bang; what sparked life?

I've used my desk top PC for the past year and it has all my info, music, and other stuff on it and I feel comfortable using it...however it would be very heavy and take up a lot of desk space at college. I also have an iBook G4 (Mac laptop) which doesn't have as much of my stuff on it but is easier to carry and set up and stuff, which one should I bring or both?

Thank you all for helping! Well my boyfriend says that he loves me, and i adore/ love him too. But i dont know why i keep thinking that i love him more and that he might leave me soon. Because he does nothing to prove that, he always says how much he cares about me and how he wants to marry me, i want to marry him too! But i cant stop thinking that feeling. I dont know why either, can someone please tell me why i keep thinking this? How do i stop and make the feeling never come back ? I keep telling myself stop, but thats not enough, how do i really stop thinking this bad thought ? I am very happy with him, and he is with me, and everytime i think about it i get very very sad. Also everytime that i try to take my mind off of it, and try to do fun things that i like to do, the feeling just comes back, i really dont understand why this keeps happening. I am going to visit my mother in the alzheimers care unit. She wants to leave with me and she can't. I'm not sure what to say to her. did you know, that in spain. you can buy a phone, you know, a real basic one for 40 euros. then you put money on the phone, in intervals as small as 5 euros at a time, and theres no monthly fee to have the phone, and this money never runs out. also you dont pay for calls you receive.

now that is what I call a pay as you go phone! in america a pay as you go phone means, pay money out the wazoo whehther you use your phone or not. and largely they charge you for incoming calls!!! why do americans own cell phones when theyre so prohibitively expensive?

Say if someone treated someone badly in the past, but that person hadn't treated them so well before either, but time passes and the relationship between the two becomes more light-hearted; there are great changes in the way of communication (less shy to much more outgoing)...

I have had sexual fantasies about girls. but also about guys. I am dating a guy at the moment, when we kiss, i feel nothing. When he holds me, i dont really feel anything either. I have looked at one of my best friends and thought her a lesbian before. when i toled her i was bi, she got mad and shut me out. shes used to itnow but i still have feelings for her which sorta bothers me. I also wonder if there is some kind of way to "test" if i like girls. I think the smoking bans in bars and restaurants are pure bullsh"t! Who agrees or disagrees and why.?
I think the only requirement should be owners of bars and restaraunts should have to post a sign on the entrance saying the are "a smoke friendly establishment" or if not a No Smoking sign. In advertisments they should also specify if they allow somking or not. This will give everyone the freedom of choice.

It`s not fair that the government is making the ban. It should be strictly the owners decision on all policies. He or she is the owner and it`s no different than allowing smoking in your house or not.

NOBODY has the RIGHT to a smoke free bar or restaraunt. If you don`t like smoke you can choose another place to go.

OK I have been having some emotional problems relating to my relationship with my mother. She pretty much doesn't see me or talk to me but lives 5 minutes from me, she gives me a **** load of money to make up for it which I am grateful for but then I feel guilty for wanting more from her in regards to visiting and playing with her grandaughter. I asked her yesterday why she isnt involved in my life and she said "My mum and dad were so in love with each other and didn't pay any attention to their kids, I am trying to teach you to make Andre (husband) your whole life and only look to him for support. The only people you need to love are him and your little girl, its you against the world and you shouldnt need anybody else. " I thought oh my God she has got it so wrong, because her parents ignored her she wants to pretend I don't exist?? At least I know WHY now, do you think that is a messed up view/excuse ?
