did you know, that in spain. you can buy a phone, you know, a real basic one for 40 euros. then you put money on the phone, in intervals as small as 5 euros at a time, and theres no monthly fee to have the phone, and this money never runs out. also you dont pay for calls you receive.

now that is what I call a pay as you go phone! in america a pay as you go phone means, pay money out the wazoo whehther you use your phone or not. and largely they charge you for incoming calls!!! why do americans own cell phones when theyre so prohibitively expensive?

I don't own a cell phone. I hate the blasted things. Most people buy them because they're cute and tiny and shiny and they make noises and take pictures and you can get custom ringtones and on the really nice ones you can play Tetris.

Nope. i do no longer and probable under no circumstances will. i've got not got a microwave the two (egad, how do I stay???) to boot there are adequate human beings around me who do have 'em who continually enable me use 'em if I actually have a real choose. i do no longer in trouble-free terms like the sensation of being on the tip of a lead and all the different stuff that occurs with cellular telephones which I watch tension others a tad batty. yet i like the belief for commute because it incredibly is solid in emergencies, which occurred whilst a canines bit my new child interior the face and we had to hurry him to the scientific institution, somebody with a cellular telephone referred to as forward and made preparations together as we've been utilizing to the scientific institution and so each little thing became waiting as quickly as we've been given there. and that i've got had a vehicle breakdown on the area of the line in a touch deserted stretch of highway and a cellular telephone became used via a delightful motorist. So I see the experience in them. I only have not got a existence type that demands one. i might probable misplace it too. thank you for letting me understand i'm no longer the only one accessible who does not have a cellular telephone. :)

Its like healthcare, in europe its cheap. The US is based on how much they can screw the public for. Its supply and demand, they know people want them, will pay for them so they can charge for them what they want. Be happy you have such a great deal for them there. The public has them as its an extension of home. We can't be tied to our home phones, offices, so we use cell phones.

Well I own a cell phone in case I need to use it-for example I might want a cell phone by my side if my car suddenly dies on me and then where would I be without a cell phone to call for assistance? They don't have car phones anymore....

I have a pay as you go phone. I only got it so my parents can see if I am alive from time to time or if I needed help or something. I don't care to chat on the phone. I had a company paid phone but I got laid off and they took it back. Thats the only reason I paid for mine

How would your life be without a cell phone? Some people travel so much that they need a phone, Americans need phones so they jack the prices up, it is all about supply and demand in America.

Virgin Mobile is a pay as you go program. I'm pretty sure you can pay as little as $5 for air time, they have bare bones phones and I don't believe any monthly fee's apply either. A friend of mine uses it.

They're just so gosh darn convenient! And the word is "gyp".

I challenge you to come to America and find a pay phone. They just aren't as common as they used to be!

Who says "gip"?

Why do people in Spain sleep the afternoon away, instead of working?
