about a year ago,me(33), mom, sis(35) and my niece(17) rented a house together. after i had all my stuff moved in i tried helping them w/ theirs but they are all procrastinators and every day would wait till i had stuff to do(like go to work, exercise, spend time w/fiance etc.) to ask for my help. so, when i told my sister one day i wouldnt help her b/c she waited till noon to get her butt in gear, we got in a huge fight some very hurtful stuff was said by both of us and i ended up moving out. she seems to think i owe her an appology for something and as far as i'm concerned the whole thing can just be forgotten. i'm sure at some point we will be more than just civil w/ each other and i dont want to regret not having her share this special time with me. but on the other hand i've done nothing wrong and dont think i should appoligize or ask her forgiveness. what would you do?

Hi everybody,
I'm filing married joint w/ my wife (first time doing this) on a 1040A. Anyway, for standard deductions of 10,300 do I subtract that from my salary, then subtract it from her salary, or do I add both our salaries and subtract 10,300 only once? Same question with exemptions (6,600 once or twice?)

my 2 1/2 year old still has her nuk! I know its bad but she has to have it, any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I have been trying for the last 2 weeks but she crys all day if she can't have it so I only give it to her at night. Any suggestions to get rid of it totally would be great!

My mother in law 75 with Alzheimers requires assistance showering as she recently had a total hip replacement (about 9 weeks ago now) and is not supposed to bend certain ways. We have already had one slippage and don't want another one. My father in law can't help because he just had cancer surgery. So I have hired a CNA to come in to assist with showering both MIL and FIL. All she does with MIL is to do her lower legs, then steps out and allow MIL to do own shower. However MIL doesn't remember that she is to receive help, and refuses when they come to help telling them she is fine and can do it on her own. I am tired of repeating myself to her and telling her that she does need some assistance because of the surgery. I just want her to be safe until FIL is better and able to assist in case of an emergency, which will be about three more weeks. They cannot live with us so that is out of the question. Two years of being on call 24/7 is taking it's toll on me. Any suggestions?

I've read the whole chapter on this, and I can't figure out how to figure out the equation show by this graph.

It's multiple choice, but I'm not going to post all the choices on here because I don't want people to just pick a random one.

If you answer, please EXPLAIN your answer.

I will say that in all the answers, it's something "=4"

Meaning, to the right side of the "=" sign it just says "4", so hopefully that will give you an idea of what my teacher is looking for.
