It's an activity that helps you to enjoy TODAY, instead of a plea for help and a distraction-segue into the afterlife.

I have been bedridden for seventeen years. Even though I'm a doctor there's nothing further that can be done for my condition. this past year my health has really taken a downwards spiral. I'm tired of fighting the battle of living each day. The challenges are becoming too much for me. I would appreciate any thoughts anyone has on this. I really don't know what to ask.

it really isn't...The people who are really helping themselves are the ones who are trying to do everything on their own, and that legalism, and God HATES it.

I'm in the biz. I hit the library for new cookbooks 3-4 times a week. I love new techniques. I checked out Rachel Rays (I look like the Joker from Batman) book 365 No Repeats. What a bunch of garbage! Paula Deen is another one too. Overrated. They are "Family Restaurant" cooks who are a dime a dozen in every small city USA. Deen just wants to clog as many arteries and heart valaves as possible. Now see I respect some of the Food Network Chefs (Lieberman, Flay and the cute Everyday Italian woman have great ideas). But stop making it out to be so glam in a kitchen, show more Gordon Ramsey. Way too sugar-coated and makes it easier for these "Franchise Culinary Schools" to steal kids money. Show the real kitchen life: Criminal cooks, theft, loud music and loud banging, heavy drug and alcohol use, cursing, throwing temper tantrums, HOT and SWEATY cooks and chefs, 12-16 hours shifts, bad manners and crazy people! By the way-I love all of this (I don't take drugs though)!

Apparently umps call balls and strikes different based on pitchers skin color...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20070814/sc_livescience/majorleagueumpscallmorestrikesforpitchersofsamerace

Read either this title or the whole article and try telling me this is "proof" it is happening.

A strike is usually a strike and a ball is usually a ball...they don't say close pitches are evaluated, just every single pitch except foul balls or hits. If a pitch is right down the middle, it'll be called a strike, if a pitch is over the catchers head, it'll be a ball.

Basically, I think this "study" was a huge waste of time...maybe even more so than the one that found white refs in basketball to call more fouls against black players (although this one is actually more valid than the basketball one, where they only looked at scorecards and not actual games)

I am not big up top by no means. Average I guess. I wear a size 4-6 in my shirts. I cannot wear anything low cut because I am not big enough. For some reason, I cannot find a bra to fit. I am modest so I don't want to go to a bra sizing. When measuring myself I thought I was a 34B. The 34 B fits good in the cup but on the loosest it seems to cut into my back. You can see the rippling from it cutting into my back. If the bra is new it feels so tight at first I am uncomfortable. I decided to go up to a 36 since there is no in between. When I tried the bras on, the A cup seemed to small so did the nearly B. The B cup seemed to fit the best. After I wore it for a day, the cup kind of got a wrinkle at the bottom like I did not fill the cup all the way. Two of them are doing this. Like I said, the A was too small squeezing me out from the sides. My question is what size bra do I buy. These bras felt comfortable and I though looked good when I tried them on.

I checked the history on my computer and found out my husband got up early this morning to watch a porn star on the computer. How many women think this is wrong? I am very upset about it how can I confront him? We have a beautiful 10 month old daughter. Why does he do this to me? It isn't the first time and he's previously promised to never do it again. I caught him before when I was pregnant and when my daughter was only a few days old. I even caught him at work one time watching this stuff. What can I do?

This is a pseudo-fictional scenario, we suppose telepaths exist and that governments keep them secret.
Why?

Here's the scoop: I'm very big on communication within a working environment (and or a relationship). However I find upper management is not listening to me when I express my concern about specific issues within the company and my department. Unfortunately at our company things have turned sour among the team leaders and members. I have repeatedly expressed my frustration on specifics that hinder production. Management's response is "X", I tell them I've done that already, they come back with "Y' I tell them I've done that too. At that point I may get another brushed off response that is supposed to pacify me while I'm waiting for them to get back to me.
The latest is training in another department -no one in that department will train me, I've went to my superior and she acts like its okay you'll do fine. But the reality is I know very little about the duties of the position I'm being thrown into Saturday and no one is hearing me when I say "I need more training".

For over 20 years we have been fighting the war on drugs and there are no less drugs than before, crime hasn't decreased, voilence hasn't decreased, etc...

When will it be time to examine our tactics against our citizens and form a conclusive strategy to end the war?

We have been dropping the hammer on these criminals for over 20 years and we are no closer to resolution... Isn't it time we switched tools?

We have reverted to no-knock warrants, paramilitary units, and using K-9 against our citizens. How can we possibly win and what would be the next logical step toward finalizing this war?

HI all. I'm doing a little project and compiling a list of excellent musicians/singers who died too soon. I need your help in making that list. Who absolutely HAS to be on the list. Now keep in mind I'm looking for deaths a little more untimely than someone dying of cancer in their 50's (accept of course George Harrison will be on the list because I mean.. he's a BEATLE. They should be immortal)

So.. who are your nominees for my tribute??
cause of death and age at death will be helpful too.

Preferred: those who died while their carreer was still going strong, and are people who many of us knew and loved.

Take it away Yahoo Answers.
