my father has aluminum poisining which causes alzheimers, he is young and i can already see that he easily forgets things (he has locked his keys in his car 3 times), does anybody know of anything i can do to help him remember better or prevent memory lose?
i dont want any silly answers, this is serious.

It has been suggested that aluminium is a cause of Alzheimer's disease, as some brain plaques have been found to contain the metal. Research in this area has been inconclusive; aluminium accumulation may be a consequence of the Alzheimer's damage, not the cause. In any event, if there is any toxicity of aluminium it must be via a very specific mechanism, since total human exposure to the element in the form of naturally occurring clay in soil and dust is enormously large over a lifetime.
Since there is no cure for dementia, the best an individual can do is to prevent it from developing in the first place.
The main method to prevent dementia is to live an active life, both mentally and physically. It appears that the regular moderate consumption of alcohol (beer, wine or distilled spirits) may reduce risk.
Furthermore, there are medications which might contribute to prevent the onset of dementia, including hypertension medications, anti-diabetic drugs and NSAIDs.

Not sure, but I've heard a lot in the news about a drug that can dramatically slow the early onset. Have a look at the link below.

My mother is 87 and it is a terrible disease.
She does not even know me as her son.
It can be very emotional on you as well.
Sorry there is no cure.
I can really be a devistating problem
