I'm going to be in upstate New York, around Duchess County, and was wondering if anyone has some swimming ideas? I know some of the holes have been regulated as non-swimming and dangerous. I'm looking for legal or unpatrolled. If you know what I'm talking about, I mean like Bish Bash Falls like 10 years ago when it was still legal to swim in the bottom.

Also, just looking to have fun- any other ideas are welcome too! Something like open farms or fruit-picking, or cute towns...

As a Christian, if I were to tell you that although we obviously do not agree on many different issues, from creation vs. evolution to death vs. everlasting life... I still respect you and can see your side of the coin and even try to understand why you believe what you believe, Knowing that I am not judging you or condeming you to hell or anything crazy like that... I don't know what I should major in, I will be going to university in two years but I don't have any ideas what I want to be in the future. Well, I love reading and general stuffs, I don't like to get into details. So is liberal arts the best choice? Are there any pre-requisites in majoring that? Does it give big bucks :p?

I was trying to give one of our cats her medication through her mouth, but was having trouble since I had never done it by myself before. While I was trying to get her mouth to open up, one of her paws got free of the towel I was restraining her with, and she scratched at my face, but ended up getting one of her claws INSIDE my nose, which made it bleed.

This cat is an outside cat, and does eat small wild animals on occasion, so I'm a little worried about some sort of infection, but I'm not sure how to go about cleaning the wound, since it's in my nose.

Any suggestions or advice?

Hi all,
As I said I am new to dog ownership having always had cats I presently have 3 cats and now my Golden Retriever that I already love dearly. She is ten weeks I have had her for two weeks. she is so clever she will sit when I tell her to and comes when I call her. I had done all my research on the breed but I think nothing is as good as the advice from people that know the breed and have lived with them so really I would greatly appreciate any tips on toilet training I have been getting up every morning at six thirty to let her out I dont mind finding a little accident as I understand she is only a baby but the problem is this we could be out in the garden for an hour and she will wait untill we go back into the house to relieve herself and not in any particular spot it can be anywhere rugs being her particular favorite so I have taken them up. 2. plant eating I don't want to build a run as she lives indoors as part of the family with daily access to the garden when she wants

Okay, here's the scenario... you are anti-war, and athiest....your son turns 18, and is drafted into the military, would you claim it was "against your religion" (and fake said religion...i'm guessing Quaker since it's the only one I can think of that are pacifists) for him to join so he wouldn't have to go?

My son's only 12, but the thought that the war will still be going on then terrifies me. I think about this at least once a week.
