Not really as it allows easy mental diversion affecting one's focus on education! Today, even some TV serials are having negative impact on the youngsters!

I think it depends on the student. Some may find it very distracting, perhaps children who have an obsession or want to look like a certain star. However, I don't think it is much different from having company or band logos on shirts and backpacks. Distraction is everywhere, students should have the responsibility to keep themselves focused. If they can do that, than they have earned the right to put just about anyone on their note books.

Wayyyy back when I was a kid, we had to cut out our film star pictures and paste them in ourselves...don't recall that a riveting full-color view of Lauren Bacall did anything to distract me from geometry. Part of the Kulchur, and certainly harmless. Some had pin-ups pasted inside their lockers, some girls had swoony head-shots of Rock Hudson and such in and on their notebooks--and in all the schools I attended, both public and parochial, it was considered harmless faddishness. Part of being a kid. I think spending 6 hours a night on the computer is more damaging than a dumb photo of a cine star.

u may stop children from having film stars on the notebooks they use. but how do u stop them from seeing filmstars in films, on TV at homes,Banners on Road , News and Film Magazines at home. If such things were in your hand u would stop publishing film stars photos at all sorry to say that, but is is one of the most silliest question ever read by me in the yahoo answers forum

I don't think so. Children tend to like stars but they are not star crazed to a dangerous point. I don't think they will spend every waking hour looking at a note book.
