This would be an outstanding matchup. Some people have talked about Tyson struggling with tall fighters with movement & this is true but he never had any close fights when he was training & had kevin rooney as his trainer. Ali on the otherhand had wars with Joe Frazier who was a smaller & shorter fighter just like Tyson. Tyson was more powerfull than Frazier & even though Frazier lost two of three fights with Ali he did give him problems in each fight.

I think this would be a war & Tyson would probably land a punch that would put Ali down but not for the count. Ali had an incredible chin & could take incredible punishment. Ali would stick & jab & move & try to frustrate Tyson & tie him up & hold him behind the head & pull him down. In the end Ali would win a decision about 7 rounds to 5. Exciting fight!!!!

I think that the outcome would probably depend on the size of the Ring. Didn't Joe Louis say " he can run but he can't hide " ? If and When Tyson ever caught up with Ali or if Ali decided to mix it up with Tyson....Ali would last not much longer than Tyson's quickest knockout which was what ? Something around 19 seconds including the 10 count ? I guess what I'm saying is that a young Tyson would KO a young Ali but it might be more difficult & take longer for Mike to do this the bigger the ring was..

Ali would win with out a doubt. Tyson was just a hard-hitting heavyweight. Ali on the other hand, could do it all. . . . move all over in the ring, had great defensive skills, and could throw a good jab followed by a nice right hand. Ali KO in the 5th!!!

(And for the record, Muhammad, not Muhammed.)

Ali would destroy tyson because of the height advantage that Ali would have over Tyson. Tyson would give Ali to much time to think because he would be trying to get that one knock out.
Ali would make Tyson go the distance because he would tire his behind out by making Tyson chase him through the whole fight. And Ali would already know that Tyson can't fight going backwards. so he would keep that jab in his face. Tyson is the type of person he can dish it out but he can not take it. A lot of people do not realize that Tyson got his REP by knocking out a lot of non professional fighters. Ali would whip him. This question reminds me of the fight between big George and Ali.

Ali would mess with Tyson's head so bad, Mike wouldn't be able to think clearly once he steps into the ring. It's not just about punching power, it's about attitude, and nobody could top Ali when it came to attitude. Ever seen a raging bull get slaughter3d by a matador in the bullfighting ring? Same thing's gonna happen in the boxing ring with Tyson and Ali.

If you ever saw Tyson fight James "Quick" Tillis you may have caught a glimpse of what might have been. Tillis got caught around round 4 and went down yet he got up and continued. Tyson won the fight by decision. It was something like 6 rounds for Tyson 4 for Tillis. Tillis had good movement but he at times stood flat footed and gave Tyson all he wanted. This was in 1986 way before Tyson ran into any trouble all Tyson fans want to give him for an excuse.

Now imagine Ali in there with Tyson. Ali was never KO'd. Ali was the quickest heavyweight ever of foot and jab. Tyson has no chance against Ali. No chance. Ali wins by decision, Tyson quitting, DQ, or KO. You pick it.

The questions is this is uncomparable. Why? Did you ever see all the video with Ali, Foreman, Frazier times? They can hit each other back and forth all out and both boxers are still standing. People as of today think yeah Ali was super great at that time, but lot of people dont know today's boxers are different. You CANNOT take one right hand from Tyson, if you brawl with Tyson, uppercut body and head will take practically boxer out. Tyson power was insane, his speed was faster too, tested and estimated 6 hits per second!! per combo?! Think about it. Edit: Ali put a Crown on Tyson head, stating King of boxing! check it on youtube!

Tyson, might be Iron, but Ali in 3.

Tyson was a decetn fighter in his day. Great punch sure, but beat a lot of 2nd rate fighters. It's a shame being 2nd rate fighters or over the hill fighters made him a legend.

Ali would own Tyson. Wouldn't even be a fight. See what Lewis did to Tyson? That's nothing compared to what Ali would do.

I can't tell you how many times I've been asked this question. I'll tell you the same answer I always give. Tyson will win. Ali will beat him up for the first few rounds. Tyson can take a little punishment. As soon as Tyson connects with that 1 right hand, Ali is out cold. Lights out.
