My friend, Maryanna, is turning 49 years old and the last I've heard from were was that she didn't want any children!! Now she is getting married to a 33 year old Egyptian guy out in Egypt(legilization process for the U.S.) and he wants like 3 kids. If she decides to have his babies what are the risks and if she doesn't want them what do you think will happen to her relationship with this guy.

First start off accepting the premise that global warming is happening:

If global warming skeptics/deniers are right, then something other than humans is causing it. They don't have a scientifically valid explanation (it's not the sun, natural cycles, volcanoes, etc.), so the planet is just warming for some inexplicable reason. Since we don't know what's causing the warming, we don't know if it will stop. Therefore:

Scenario 1: There's a 50/50 chance global warming will continue, and we have no control over it.

Now assume that climate scientists are right. Most agree that humans are the primary cause of the current warming and that we still have a chance to avoid the worst effects by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.

Scenario 2: We have a chance to avoid catastrophic climate change, but we don't appear to have the political will to do it right now.

Which scenario would you prefer?

My g/f got an unexpected gift of a plane ticket to go see someone. That trip didn't work out, but the ticket is non-refundable, so she's coming to see me. The problem though is, she wants to come down from August 29th through the thursday following Labor Day. The week of the 29th is when I'm supposed to be starting a new job which I have an interview for in about an hour.
What should I tell the potential employer? The flight is already booked and she can't back out of it now. I need to be there to pick her up at the airport. But I also don't want to be passed over for the job. I'm a well qualified candidate for the position, considering I've done the same kind of job before. It's just I would have to wait a week to start.

I recently moved into a new apartment and have found cockroaches in the kitchen. While researching how to get rid of them, I have come to the conclusion that boric acid is very effective. My question is I have pets, and am concerned for their safety and health. Am I endangerin my pets by trying to get rid of these disgusting insects. Homosexual Lutheran clergy who are in sexual relationships will be able to serve as pastors, the largest U.S. Lutheran body said on Saturday. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) passed a resolution at its annual assembly urging bishops to refrain from disciplining pastors who are in "faithful committed same-gender relationships." My husband recently told me he wants a divorce, and its because I am taking too long in school (1 year left), and he has no other VALID reason as far as I am concerned. In the recent months, he has helped his one friend move (female) and has done a lot more for her than he has for me, what kinds of things should I look for and how to get the valid truth?

I know divorce is inevitable now, and when we initially married, we agreed we didn't believe in divorce, unless there was cheating or abuse involved. And I know I didn't cheat, as I am the type who loves unconditionally. He was never like this before, she started coming around. How can I know for sure? something that can hold up in court when the divorce goes through?

Browsing Y!A, it seems that at least a couple of people have studied multiple languages under the auspices of one or another branch of the U.S. military, but I'm wondering how common this is and what it is dependent on. It also seems that the choice of language is entirely up to the military, but at least one person mentioned the possibility of putting a specific language in your contract. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have studied multiple languages and/or worked with multiple languages as military linguists. Finally, does every branch of the military have linguist positions, and do linguists in the different branches generally do pretty much the same job?

I have a Chevy s10 that will die in hot weather. Once I stop and turn off the ignition it will start again and run great until it happens again usually 30 minutes or it may not happen again at all the rest of the day. Hottest day of the year here yesterday. I could only run it about 10 minutes before it died. (Died 5 times) This morning ran fine on way to work (30 minute drive). Any Ideas?

I had protected sex around the 25th of june, and got a regular, normal period around the time i should have. Fast forward another month, and my period is on time. However, now my period is done, and i'm still getting the back ache, head aches and what I think is cramping. However, i wear bad shoes and sleep on the floor and couch alot, AND have a history of anxiety and those type of symptoms. I know i'm probably not, but is there any possible way I could be pregnant?
