I dont understand why ex's always start sh*t with the new loves of the people they used to be with. Does anyone know why that is? Or why they think that they can get the ex back? Or why they start to insult the new love even if they don't know them at all. Your opinion?

p.s. it's not my husband's ex i am dealing with. (hello no! that b*tch knows she doesn't have a chance in hell to getting back with *MY* man lol)
anyway, it's my best friend's husband's ex. she's so retarded and thinks she's gods gift to this earth. she thinks she can have him back EVEN THOUGH the douche bag is married to someone else and has children with him. and also, my best friend's *EX-sister-in-law* (through marriage, she used to be married to my friend's husband's brother) (confusing huh?? lol) anyway, she's not making things any better. she keeps egging this ex on about her "getting her man" back =/ (losers!) (oh, and i hope i didn't confuse anyone lol)

My ex did have a woman in her life who was a total biotch...she wasn't very nice to our children and use to say things about me behind my back. He's had one whom I did like and got along with but she got tired of his drinking and left....and my kids liked her because she was such a nice person and I liked her as well. Now the one he has now is somewhat "dingy" but she is nice and treats everyone well as far as I know. (All the kids are now grown up). I don't see them much so that's just as well. I know in some cases it's jealousy because some people just can't let go. I was never jealous, just wanted to see him happy and never held ill feelings towards him. I never wanted my ex back, but you're right, a lot of them will do anything to get them back. I went through hell many years ago because of someones ex and after 1 year of that crap and him not standing up for himself or our relationship, I decided it just wasn't worth it anymore and broke off with him. (She had a man in her life)

You want him/her to be happy but not at the cost of someone else's despair. (your despair that is). And usually it's never true love when the situation is like that. It's an obsession. However you spell that. When you love someone it's unconditional...of course rules and regulations apply...lol. but when it's real you want the other person to be happy no matter what. OR someone just doesn't know how to control their emotions...but that's the way it is.

It just means they still have feelings for the ex and are trying to sabotage the new relationship. It's up to your significant other to set the necessary boundaries to keep the ex out of your lives.

Thats a good question.
I think perhaps everyone has their own reasons. Some might be that they are jealous, feel that their old love thinks the mew person is better than they are, still has feelings for them and so on.....

They don't like to be replaced. The thought of you moving on to someone else who makes you happier then they did puts them in jealousy mode. They don't want and can not stand that especially if they havent found someone yet.

It is because they are jealous. They thought their ex's were going to love them till the day they die and cannot handle the thought of a new person getting that love.

They want attention. They're jealous. They're childish. Don't worry about people like that. Getting upset over something they do is just giving them what they want.
Good luck!

That's just human nature, look at this way if your a girl and your man breaks up with you, couple weeks after you still depressed and heart broken over it and you see him with this new chick you would HATE her guts, and if looks could kill she would be DEAD!!! LOL
