We are having a cookout this weekend for my birthday. There will be approx. 20-25 people there. We plan on grilling something like chicken or porkchops on our grill. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for easy side dishes? I plan on making a pasta salad, but what else can we do that will go good with these meats?

Hello RN's out there:

I am currently working on an associate's degree in an unrelated field, but am thinking about entering an RN program once I graduate. I realize that admission is extremely competitive, and have a few questions on how to improve my chances:

1. Will it be an advantage to have an associate's degree as well as a high school diploma when applying? (The RN program is in the same community college as I'm currently attending.)

2. I'm thinking about taking the required non-nursing classes before applying to the nursing program (math, anatomy & physiology, microbiology and psychology). Will having good grades in these classes improve my chances of admission?

3. The RN program accepts either an ACT or a NLN-PAX score for admission: which one do you think I should take for improved chances?

4. Will poor grades in unrelated courses taken two years ago prevent me from getting admitted, if I raise my cumulative GPA to 3.0 (preferred at this program)?

How do you get rid of an ex that is always calling or coming by. She has been doing this for a year & a half now. She does this with all ex's, not just me. She is quite the player. She does not know how to be just friends. She was always a lier through the whole relationship over stupid things that didn't even matter. She also comes on to people that she just meets. There must be some under lying cause for that. How do I stop her from doing it to me?

I know with an injury like this you're supposed to rest it but i can't rest TOO much because i still have to run to get in shape for fall sports.

I can't really ice it because when it hurts, it hurts in at least 3 different spots from my hip to my knee at the same time.

My dad (who was a sports medicine doctor, now radiologist) gave me some stretches but none of them get the spot where it actually hurts.

What else can i do?

I get extremely depressed to the point that I think of cutting
I get spazzy and have crying spells.
I get sensitive and hurt easily by simple insults.
I feel hopeless.
I feel like things will never be ok.

I have been ill lately (still am) and havnt been in the sun at all, hardly any sleep and not eating properly.And due to that my skin is so bad i hate it. Just now i have spots and redness, dark eyes which make me look like a zombie but i seem to be really pale even with the redness. I cant remember what smooth skin feels like! I am only 16. I'm going to a party 2night that is very casual. Today I bought over 400$ worth of FANTASTIC clothes (A major spree, I only do it twice a year) and am itching to try them out in "the world." One problem: most of the guest will be guys. Should I dress up (litterally, as I bought dresses and jeans to wear under the dresses) or just wear cargo pants and a pretty black shirt that I like but haven't worn in a while?

According to John Hagee's (incredible loud) voice....God "hates" certain things. Does that mean it is alright to follow in his footsteps? Is hatred of sin and the devil and whatnot acceptable in God's eyes?

I always associated hate as a negative feeling....am I wrong? Please clarify this for me....I'm just having a hard time understanding how a deity with so much power would have to stoop to the level of hate (of something he created in the first place.)
