I am a white male and I find it offensive to hear the "N word" blasted all over the place. What is it about rap music that it always has to be offensive and aggressive. And why does it exploit women, drugs, money, power..etc. Rock, alternative, blues..etc do not typically have this brash attitude. I really believe the message it transmits in todays youth is quite detrimental.

The large fittings are for 5/8 pipe, water supply to my outside faucet. The fittings are large screw type with female on each end and some little piece with a flanged end that seems to slide around. Is the water pressure keeping this little piece tight so the repair doesnt leak? I have no seals or gaskets to use with the fittings. Doh!

Al Gore refuses to debate scientists who want to question the validity of Global Warming science. Lots of facts don't add up, and lots of respected scientists need to know how "activist scientists" came up with scientific figures so that they can verify and replicate some of the findings.

Considering how important Global Warming is to their adherents, and this is such an important issue that needs to be addressed immediately, why the silence on the facts?

I see questions all the time "What if it's true, wouldn't you be glad you did something, even if it wasn't"? Well, before you demand instant action, let's at least make sure there is a legitimate solution to a legitimate problem.

I see neither, except in money making "Buy Carbon Credit" Scheme, and political nutbags trying to remain significant.

Here is Al Gore. Why won't he debate scientists? Isn't it important enough?

I hav tried to overclock my CPU by adjusting the multiplier, the frequency, and my CPU voltage (to stablize it all) but every little change i do causes my computer to crash and give me a blue screen that says that the chages cannot be applied. I tried making the smallest changes possible but it still crashes. I even tried using the "AI overclocking" feature which is supposed to be set to how the comp sees fit., it still didnt work.

Its kind of complex but Ill try to make it short.
We moved out of our lease early but we got a subleasor to take over our lease. We painted a stripe on a single wall when we lived there and the subleasor loves it. Our lease ended and our landlord sent us back our security deposit. 90 dollars was deducted due the the painted wall. He said it is going to cost him that much in labor and materials to paint the wall (this stripe was literally 5 feet long and 1 1/2 foot wide. He also deducted 25 dollars for a light bulb fixture that was broken in the basement (the basement was accessible to both residences of the house, it was a duplex.) We truthfully did not break the fixture, Im pretty sure the subleasor broke it when she was putting stuff downstairs to store) Can he deduct that from our deposit?
I want to take him to small claims for the 110 that he owes us, how do i do that? what do you think about the situation?

I spend another all-nighter, tonight standing outside waiting to see a Celestial showing, but to no avail. :-( All I DID see was (maybe?) one "flash" - I bet it was only a distant star giving up it's final show.
Why is this year's Persied Meteorshower such a tell-all in the media? - Why hasn't it garnered as much mention-attention since this year?
I did spot Mars in the distance from this shower, but that planet is too far in it's orbit to even consider mentioning.
When will be the next possible Galaxy-glory-"thing" to show up nearby Earth to garner more media attention? - How often does our "Sister-planet" (Mars) visit this neighborhood?

1999 war games predicted problems in Iraq
Exercise showed that chaos was possible even with 400,000 troops
WASHINGTON - The U.S. government conducted a series of secret war games in 1999 that anticipated an invasion of Iraq would require 400,000 troops, and even then chaos might ensue.
In its “Desert Crossing” games, 70 military, diplomatic and intelligence officials assumed the high troop levels would be needed to keep order, seal borders and take care of other security needs.
“The conventional wisdom is the U.S. mistake in Iraq was not enough troops,” said Thomas Blanton, the archive’s director. “But the Desert Crossing war game in 1999 suggests we would have ended up with a failed state even with 400,000 troops on the ground.”

I have the ability to get into a top university such as Johns Hopkins or Georgetown University. However, I don't want to spend the next four years of my life basically repeating high school -- pulling all nighters 3 times a week and only studying. I want to have a social life in college.
My parents say that I should go to a top-tier school, meaning schools in the top 100, but not go to an Ivy League-ish school. They say that I should study hard, make excellent grades, and then apply to a top 20 grad school. They say that undergrad doesn't really matter, all that really counts it grad school.

What do you think?
