Mind is neither part of body or soul (the atman within). Mind has an absolutely independent status in the cosmic life cycle. Mind of the whole Cosmos is one. No human being or any other living being ever has a mind. We all have brains... so do other living beings! The brain of a human being acts as a receiving and a transmitting station.

Every single thought existing in the Cosmos gets relayed from mind plus and mind minus. As is our residual balance of karma... so is our invocation of thought! One indulging in wanton desires and materialistic riches invokes negative thoughts from the reservoir of mind minus. Those with a sunny disposition and godly thinking invoke positive thoughts from reservoir of mind plus.

Mind has two compartments... mind plus and mind minus! Thoughts of positive nature exist in mind plus... those negative in mind minus! Every single human being invokes thoughts floating in ether all over Cosmos. Mind exists somewhere in the center of the Cosmos. All thoughts travel at almost unlimited speeds... frequencies much higher than the speed of light.

All Wisdom gained by human beings is directly invoked from the reservoir of mind plus. Vedas... the sacred Hindu scriptures were invoked by human beings directly from God Almighty. The Wisdom exists in the reservoir of mind plus since the beginning of time. As and when human being becomes mature enough to gain Wisdom... the same gets invoked accordingly!

Our soul atman within is God Almighty in minuscule form residing within our heart. Every soul atman when not manifesting a body resides in the center of the sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It is in such temperatures the soul atman feels comfortable. Our soul atman is made up of pure cosmic energy incomprehensible by human beings.

In the circumstances... do we still feel that our soul atman (a cluster of pure cosmic energy) can think after the death of the body? It is the body manifested by our soul atman that invokes thoughts and not the soul atman within! Our soul atman manifests the body to eradicate the impurities within. It is through the complex process of karma... life moves on from one manifestation to another.

The moment soul atman leaves the body... it becomes dead and decays with time! If matching parents are available on Mother Earth... the soul atman immediately manifests a new body... and starts a new earthly life cycle! The new body... the human being has the power of discrimination that distinguishes us from animals. It is this body that invokes thoughts from the reservoir of mind plus or mind minus... and not the soul atman within! More on Mind Power - http://www.godrealized.org/mind_a_universal_phenomenon.html

I believe that my mind constitutes my true self. I feel like my personality feeds off my mind, because I think I'm kind of awkward, and I do awkward things. I do this because I think I'm awkward. I'm not very confident. My mind tends to wander a lot, and I daydream, so sometimes I think I'm not really conscious because I'm thinking so much and I lose track of reality. I think I have s soul. I think you think more with a mind, but you feel more with a soul. I'm definitely a soul. I know that neuroscience can help the brain more and I think that learning about the self in a cognitive way changes the way you think about yourself. I think that the brain is more logical and the mind has more personality.

I think of the mind as the intermediary between soul and body, the thinking part, conscious and unconscious, that comes before action.

I don't know if souls can think after death. If they do, it would be a different type of though without the brain. BTW, I believe that mind is more than just the brain.

Overall, I see spirit as an unchangeable spark of the divine; soul as what changes as a result our thoughts, words, and actions; mind as what forms our thoughts, words, and actions; and the body carries them out. And they're all interconnected. Just my point of view!

The mind is the soul. The mindless are the soulless. Thought is energy. Energy cannot be destroyed or disappear. Therefore it must exist, somehow, after death.

i think the mind is a tangible extension of the soul; after you die, your soul lives on, but your mind dies with your brain
