my cousins daughter just did this. when my cousin was in high school his gf had a baby and they put it up for adoption. the 'baby' now contacted them 15 years later and now she comes to visit them!
first you need to talk to your adoptive parents about it, make sure they know that you want to do this. They will (more than likely) have your original birth certificate with his name on it. it will also have the place of birth. call the operator and see if they have a phone number listed under his name in that city/town
if they say that they do, you have two choices, you could either call him that way (on your own) or you could contact the adoption agency that they went through and they will arrange a meeting for you to talk.
but, if they operator doesnt have a phone number listed in his name you will have to do further investigating. you could google his name to see if it comes up in any companies/awards and look for addresses on there. You could contact the adoption agency and ask them if they have any information on them.
*good luck!* =D

First you need his name. Then you need to know the last known residence. Possibly and age and maybe were he went to school.
