Because every time Bush mentioned 9/11; the next sentence was something about Iraq. And the talk shows did the same thing. So that after months and months of hearing "Iraq", "9/11", "Iraq", "9/11", everyone associates Iraq with 9/11. And whenever anyone questioned us invading Iraq - someone would say "have you forgotten about 9/11" - as if they had something to do with each other.

So what? The reasons we launched offensive military operation against Iraq are contained in Public Law 107-243. A link to that is found below. Those reasons are mirrored in the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-338). A link to that is also listed below.
But, I do find it more than passing strange that the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 just happened to occur on the second anniversary of the day that the UN Peace Enforcement Mission expelled Iraqi troops from Kuwait.

Who knows. President Bush never said Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 but some of his opponents have lead people to believe he said as much to discredit him. If you repeat a lie enough times people will believe it.

I don't believe that Iraq was involved cause terrorists work in different groups. But I believe that Iraq was responsible for some terrorism in the region.

I think that most people know that and I have never heard anybody saying that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. I have heard that people thought that Saddam Hussein would only be to pleased to help terrorists in general. After all he was giving ten to twenty thousand dollars to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

well i support Bush and i don't believe that Iraq had anything to do with Sept.11Th. if you bother to listen to what he has said it is not that Iraq had anything to do with Sept.11th but that they had a connection to Al-Qaeda. big difference. so all you answering this that bush supporters think they do are wrong as usual when it comes to Iraq on any level.

You know that and I know that (Iraq did not do 9-11) but a war supporter and Bush supporter will never agree with that.

Oh, I don't know. Why not ask the people in the link provided, and see what they had to say about the same topic.

There you liberals go again. Misquoting.
According to the 9/11 commission report, Saddam had no "collaborative relationship".
That merely means that Saddam did not plan the attacks. It does not suggest that Saddam did not give sanctuary to terrorists, including al qaeda members. If you don't believe me, ask Hillary:
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members... "
