Everytime i hear them talk they say that science is sure global warming is man made when there are still critics out there. Then they call people ignorant who disagree with them when they are really the ignorant ones.

Can social network support world peace?

This question, in reality, is a sum of many questions: can Web 2.0 promote real understanding among people? Will people decide to use technology to co-operate? Can automatic translation tools, socila bookmarks, news digging, etc. make communication easier?

A practical testbed for Web 2.0: can a site like http://www.mypacis.com/ , built as open source, integrated and localized social network platform, develop into a tool for peace?

Please reply to this question, your opinion can make a difference in identifying strenghts and weaknesses of Web 2.0 services at the service of peace and freedom.

I dont know what to do hubby is away in iraq and comes home around the beginning of sept. I am entering the severe depression stage again and severely worried about being left alone with my new born baby. Any ideas on how i get through this. I refuse to take medication. I hate the numbing feeling the medication gives me. Hubby helps control emotional waves. I am a sleeping and cold medication taker to sleep away the depression stage over all i dont know what to do...

Why do we have over 100,000 troops in Europe? The russian ground forces are in total shambles. The European nations have a larger population and economy when combined than the US. Let them defend themselves, the cold war is over!! It would take the Russian government a decade or more to even assemble a force that could take back its old satellites, much less invade Europe.

South Korea has five times the population of North Korea and at least 40 times the economy. Can't they defend themselves? China is no longer backing North Korea so don't use that argument. They are happy making lots of money and don't want a conflict.

And of course japan can defend themselves.

The US last year spent 50% of ALL the world's military spending. No wonder when we spend over $100 billion a year defending countries that can defend themselves. We need to just focus on OUR interests. The founding fathers would be ashamed that we have become the world's police.

Me and my friend were walking to the bus bays at school and he walked past and saw us. As he walked past, my friend saw him and tried to pull me away, and he said hi to me in a really nice way and he was a bit flirty with me. He totally ignored my friend but she wasn't bothered. I recently encountered this strange situation. "I'm not religious, but I am curious as to what belief I would fall into based on what I believe. Don't bother trying to convert me, or lying to me, I'm going to stay not-too-religious either way. here are my beliefs:
-I believe in one God as a force.

-The universe was created in billions of years, but that's not to say that God wasn't a part of it.

-Baptism important
-Confession shouldn't be necessary

Okay, so I have this friend that got a dog for Christmas. They told everyone that they did not want one and they just ignored and gave him one anyway. He is at a point in his life where it is just really difficult to deal with a dog, on top of everything else that is going on.

Besides which, this dog is very disobedient and naughty. I think a lot of that is because he cannot spend enough time with it, but nonetheless, it is a problem.

He doesn't know what to do, because he is a kind hearted person, he has tried to raise this dog, but he really, really does not want it - which I believe the dog can sense too.

I know, everyone will say to take it to the humane society or something. Well, we live in a small town and they don't have that. The only have the pound, which will kill them within a few days if they are not taken by someone else.

What do you suggest? How would you deal with it when you specifically asked NOT to get one, but that is what you were given?

As soon as I turn over, the oil pressure shoots way up to about 80psi (maxed out on gauge). Any ideas on possible problems? Is it safe to drive 15-20 miles to shop with oil pressure maxed out? Also, looks like there is a bad oil leak somewhere, possibly rear main seal?

I have had cichlids for a long time but have never used salt in my tank. My fish breed and seem to do just great nut I was wondering if the salt increases their life span or intensifies their colors? I have recently purchased dainichi cichlid food and it really has brought out more color in my fish. I just wanted to know if the salt might increase color too and why?
PS I have a my aquarium is between 220 and 240 (yes thats right, it is very large lol) gallons how much salt would that use and what would the approximate cost be per month?

She'll come to me for the petting and attention and then, while she's still purring and wanting to be petted in the same area, gives me a gentle bite for about 4 to 6 seconds and then lets me go... She still wants to be petted and wants the attention, I just can't think of any reason for the nibble...
