They had a baseball edition on Mythbusters. They said you could not knock the cover off the ball. In the HBO special about Mickey Mantle, it showed Mantle holding up a ball that had a quarter-sized hole in the cover after he had hit it. Are there any other verified stories out there about hitters damaging baseballs? Would these rare occurences only happen if the ball had some defect in the lacing or something? Whatcha all got on this?

This guy I like showed all the signs of liking me. He would make up stupid excuses to talk to me, he'd get jealous when I was with other guys, he'd try to make me jealous, he'd try to get my attention, and he always stared/watched me. He looks at me differently then other girls. What I dont understand is why he denies all of this? Why he will date girls who are all over him,who he doesnt even like, but when it comes to me, he pulls away as soon as we come close..... I just bought a brand new 07 titan and I know the gas is pritty bad in city do to a high power output at 1500 to 2000 rpms. My question is how can i save gas and is there a chip that raises the power output problem to like 3000 or something?

I have 2005 kia and in 2 weeks it has been in the shop. 5 times in the past year for the same thing and I have told theme all about other things that they say is not there or will not do it whan they have it, or they will fix it than some thing else will go wrong.
this will be the 3ed time they have had to fix the shifter ,and i got it back to day and it is hard to get in to i Drive than back to partk. and other things what can I do .. I originally came to faith through Josh McDowell's "Evidence that Demands a Verdict." I had depression at the time (suicidal...) and needed to believe. The book states that there are more than 24,000 manuscripts and pieces of manuscripts of the New Testament in existance today. It then compares this to the Illiad (if memory serves...) with something like 640 manuscripts. That sounds good but breaking it down to reality... The New Testament isn't 1 book... its 23... and pieces of manuscripts? What constitutes a piece of a manuscript? A page? The entire Christian religion hinges on the reliability of scripture. Every apologetic argument uses the presumption that what happened in the New Testament really happened. I can no longer be 100% certain.

I will always be grateful to the Christian religion for helping me stabilize emotionally and mentally. I have to be honest with myself though.

And I am done staring into the abyss.
