No, it's not true. Alcohol adds up, no matter how you drink it. If you had one beer, wine afterward isn't the problem -but if you "found" the wine I'd test a little bit first to make sure it hasn't turned.

it doesn't much matter how you drink it, the more alcohol you consume the drunker you get, the sicker you will be.
