I just bought a brand new 07 titan and I know the gas is pritty bad in city do to a high power output at 1500 to 2000 rpms. My question is how can i save gas and is there a chip that raises the power output problem to like 3000 or something?

I think Super Chips Has a reprogramer out now. Cold Air intake device. Gibson or Banks exhaust. There is only one draw back in making the engine more powerful, your right foot. Power is addicting and you will have to show those Slow Hemi's And weak Ford's Just what your titan can do... The 305 HP Titan actually makes about 350hp. The above three modifications and light foot throttle should make even more of a difference. Light throttle is the only way to get gas mileage

All V8 powered full size pickups are terrible on fuel in city driving. Most V6 trucks aren't great either in town. Use the cruise control whenever possible. Only warm up the engine for a minute in winter, none at all in summer. Don't use drive throughs. Run tires at maximum pressure or ever 1-2 lb. higher. Don't use drive throughs.

The hard thing to do with a Titan is to not stab the throttle and hear that awesome V8 sound. Light throttle input makes a big difference in fuel economy.

If you really need a truck for occasional use, consider getting a cheap small used car like a late 90s Altima or Civic for running errands and commuting.

The Titan is an awesome truck. Excellant quality but horrible mpg's. Unfortunately you cant do too much except to go easy on the throttle.

The engine will get better mpg's as it breaks in. I was getting 12-14 in the city of SF but on the highway as high as 17 at 75 on cruise control. Good luck.

Enjoy!

Get a different car if gas milage is a concern of yours. Titans are pigs on gas. Theyve got the new AUDI Q7 V12 diesel dropping next year with 500HP and 1000NM of torque. It only uses 11.9 Litres for 100km. Thats what i call a fu
