Almost every group or culture or society practices some form of "ethnic cleansing".

Sometimes it's overt and violent, like genocide in Bosnia and Kosovo. Like the genocide in Rwanda or Sudan.

You can find milder forms such as France trying to halt infiltration of English and Yankee lingo into French language.

The only notable time when humanity tried a different formula was the American Revolution and a few genius concepts like the separation of church and state.

Ethnocentrism is ever present.

The great irony and tragedy is that bigots, who themselves were once immigrants, don't embrace the melting pot concept which built America.

What's worse, they invoke Christianity in support of hatred.

Christians abhor the KKK. The KKK might claim to have christian conservative values but they support everything Christian Conservatives are against. Liberals just use the KKK's false claim as an excuse to bash Christianity.
