Since the Columbia disaster NASA has spent a large amount of mission time surveying for tile damage. It appears now they’ve got a big ding.

My question is why do they use foam insulation? My lab typically stores these cryogenic fluids, and we do not use foam insulation for the storage and holding vessels. Our dewar has two walls and a vacuum between the layers. I’ve never seen any ice forming on my dewar, and the fluid lasts for days. Why don’t they use a double-walled evacuated external fuel tank?

I had a dream a few months ago that the devil raped me. I got over that a few weeks later. Then last week I had a dream that I was taking a bath and trying to relax. But then the lights started blinking and the tap went crazy. And when I looked up, the devil was standing and saying "I want to make you the mother of my son" And he grabbed my arms and try to rape me. And in the dream I started screaming b/c I was terrified of how he looked and his actions. I woke up then and I was so scared that I couldnt go back to sleep.
I didnt tell about this to my bf..and when we had an argument the other day he was like "why the hell are you acting as if you are poessessed by the devil or something?!" and that really hurt and freaked me out.
Am I dreaming this b/c I am stressed out a lot lately due to family issues? I am so confused and hurt. :(

Where I live, there are hundreds of houses in all stages of construction. Behind us, curbs, streets and street lights have been finished for months but no houses started. The stock market is in the pits...will somebody tell Bush that the economy is taking a serious hit?

Can you give specific instances where you would not, as well as specific examples where you would just merrily say "Sir, yes sir" and execute the command from the "higher" man, like a well trained Marine?

Here are a few scenarios I'd like your input on: Let's call it, "Submit, or not Submit?"

*He wants to "do it" at 3am, and you have a sinus infection, 100.3 degree temperature, and body aches. He knows this.

*He wants you to use your day off watching the kids so he can go bowl with friends. You had plans to go to the spa. He had off for two days last week and went bowling.

*You want to go play cards with some girlfriends and hang out. He says NO. No reason why. But he plays poker every weekend with his friends.

*You get offered a great position at a local college. He says NO because you will be making way more money than he will, as "teh head of teh household".

*He wants salmon, but you want chicken. You hate salmon. He likes them both.

Church doctrine clearly condemns 'sins of the flesh', so why should the Church culpable when priests violate 'company policy'?

Is going after employers for the unsanctioned behavior of employees in the interest of justice, or in the interest of attorney profit margins?

A friend of mine is having trouble with her husband. She came to me several times, complaining about and explaining the fights she had and all the problems. Well, now she's really desperate. She doesn't want to get divorced, since she has a child to care for (and she really doesn't want to), but now she doesn't know what to do. She's asking for help, and that's why I came to Yahoo Answers!

Does anyone know how my friend can explain to her husband that she's human and end the sensless fighting (I'm serious, they fight about practically nothing)? All advice (good advice, please...) is appreciated!

He's been making records now nearly 40 years. Everything from blues, blues/rock, jazz fusion, metal etc, with various bands, sessions, and as a solo act. He is one of my all time favorite guitarists. What may have hindered his career was the fact that he kept on confusing the listener, especially new fans to his music. He's covered every spectrum of rock'n'roll over the years, and some people might jump in expecting one thing, and wind up getting something they may not have expected.
Personally I love his diversity, and really appreciate the fact that he can jump back and forth between genres.
A true guitar master!
If you like, you can more precise and name your favorite song and or album too.

The first time this pain happened it was just my left foot. I figured I had landed on it funnily and bruised the bone or something. I wore a tensor for at least three weeks until it stopped hurting, and I stopped walking and hiking as much because that agravated it and started biking instead.

About a month later, when my foot seemed fine again, I wore some flat shoes with arch supports in them and my foot started hurting again.

More recently, I ran downhill and shortly thereafter both of my feet started to hurt. The pain is located seemingly in the top of the foot, above the arch.

It's not cramps in my feet... I think I might have weak joints, too. Do I have strange posture and not walk or run properly? If so it's not obvious!

What do you think is wrong? And what should I do about it?

My parents are buying me a new car, and I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want. I want something rather roomy on the inside, with good gas mileage, 4 doors, a smooth ride, a sunroof, preferrably a v6 engine but I know that's a long shot....

Anyway. I've narrowed it down to a few choices:

Honda Civic
Maza6
Nissan Maxima
Toyota Camry

So, my question is, out of these 4, which do you think would be the best and smartest car to buy? And if you have any other suggestions on cars that meet the criteria I mentioned above, please feel free to include that in your answer, as well.

Thanks!

I am a high school teacher. This past summer, I had a facial piercing (monroe- small beauty mark above lip). When I returned to school this week, the principal asked me to take it out. He said he did not allow any piercings, but ears.
Is this legal? I feel like I am being discriminated against. I thought I was protected by the first amendment.
The dress code does say it is up to your school principal, but does not say piercings aren't allowed. How can one piercing be okay and another not. Can he legally do this?

Is it just the nature of the world to compound several crises into one day/week, or is it just that the stress of the first problem makes everything that comes after it seem way more important and stressful than it really is?

What do you think?

The law needs to be changed if it becomes another Tony Martin case, don't you think? My first thought about the burglar was "Serves you right, you ****!" Thieving is a criminal offence for god sake and so is trespass and B&E, so why should the owner be punished for preventing his rightful property from being removed?
