I asked a question similar to this and one person pointed out that officers in the Marine Corps get to live off base but I'm pretty sure if this were true, that they'd have to be within a certain distance of the base. Is there any truth to this and if so, what rank would you have to be? Curious because I'm thinking of going to OCS. Thanks.

My sister divorced nearly five years ago. She since went to college, finished her degree, got a good full time job, has two kids one grown and one in her teens, and is 39. She has alot going for her in her life, but seems to continuously make bad choices in men. She keeps dating loser after loser. The guy she is seeing now is unemployed, lives with his mother, has poor hygiene, and isn't remotely good looking. If he were to walk up to her while she was out drinking, she'd tell him to get lost, but for some reason she can't seem to do that sober. She has sent her daughter to live with her father so she doesn't have to "deal with" the fighting, and so she has more personal freedom. How do I tell her that she's making bad choices in men and that she is better than the men she is choosing? She asks me where she can find a man like my husband and how do I tell her that she won't find one like my husband because she likes dirty guys apparently?

i have 4 days till my due date and i'm really anxious about how it feels like and how it starts. does it just all of a sudden starts hurting? This is my first pregnancy so i don't know how it's like. lately i've been getting lots of painless contractions. and this morning i had contractions with cramps. but i went back to sleep and when i got up, it went away. the whole day today, my inner thighs been aching.. any chance that labor's coming?.. soon...

many people ask me if i'm scared, but i always answer no because i've never experienced it and don't know how it's like. they tell me that its the worse pain i will ever feel but will soon forget about it.. some tell me that it feels like menstrual cramps x 100.. some say it's like getting your apendix taken out.. and some dont know how to explain it.. so.. from experiences.. how does it start and for you... how did your contractions feel like?

Hmm. Ok. I'm not a hardcore gamer. Well, yes i am. I like to play online multiplayer games a lot. But, i tend to not finish any adventure games. I give up easily when it's like the 10th time i try to beat a damn mission! So... Yea... I got a ps2 and i haven't really spend a lot of time on it and i'm pretty bored. so which game would you suggest? I'm thinking of God of war 2, Metal gear solid 3 or Devil May Cry 3. Any game that's decent. I like shooters, adventure, racing, basically anything that's sick and wicked. I might even try an RPG. Heard a lot of good things about FF. So hook me up!

I was soo excited... i finally found my dream school...the University of Miami. I heard that this school is really hard to get into to, and I don't have the best grades. Please...if you know what you are talking about can you tell me my chances, and if I should even be excited about applying. I have 3.14 GPA on a 4.0 scale, 22 on ACT writen, club president, NHS, Student council, varsity track, just quit varsity basketball. Have been in youth groups and stuff like that, african american, and katrina victim. Do i have a chance???

Okay so i just did my first year of highschool, and like a lot of people it took me a while to feel comfortable, by the end of the year i had found a great group of people, who i was still slightly shy with but warming up to. My problem is since summer came none of us were able to see each other for a long time and now that everyones back (and i accidently blew off a invite) they don't seem too impressed, it's time i came out of that shell a little and really gave them a good reason to be friends with me.. but that still doesn't mean it would be easy.
I've had anxiety issues my whole life, which is no excuse but it doesn't help.. I'm really looking for suggestions on how to crack out of that shell a little and show my friends they really can depend on me.
I have a couple really good friends outside of school, who i got along well with so its not like this is something new..

my mom hates it when i play my ps2 out in the living with the plasma tv, she just want us to play it either in my room, or the cheep tv in the guest room(not even in her room!! i know!)
i kept asking my mom why and the only reason (that i think is unreasonable) is that ps2( or any kind of video games console) damages the plasma screen. can you please give me a truthful answer but also ones that i can prove her wrong and play in the living room again!.. the plasma is HUGE!!!!! its SOOO AWSOME!!
