Hello!
I just wanted to ask.....
What week were you when you felt your baby move for the first time?
I was just curious.....
I am currently 15 weeks. I know that it's still early for me to feel anything, but I also know that it is entirely possible!
I also know that for first time pregers, it's harder for us to "tell" that what we are feeling is actually the baby, since we've never felt it before!!!!
I am pretty little. 103 lbs. So, I'm hoping that will help in causing me to feel my little peanut sooner rather than later!
But. What about you?
How far along were you when you felt your baby move the first time?

Its about 1 1/2 inches long and its legs are all about an inch long....I dont think its a black widow b/c it has no hourglass and its butt area is kinda dark greyish, but the rest of it is pure black.

My race always seems to be a topic of conversation with this particular colleague. I am british born chinese. Today she asked me if I can cook chinese and I said yes I can make stir fries but not everything...then she said surely you can...you are chinese arent you? I said yes she said again arent you chinese ?
I said yes again (at this point Im not sure what to make of what shes saying, she seemed condescending). Then she says do u english food? I felt like laughing at such a stupid question at that point....Then she was imitating a chinese accent at me....was she being racist to me? And if so what should I do if she does something similar again?

Dont say tell your boss because I want to deal with this situation as and when it happens at that moment in time.

A friend of mine suffers from domestic violence. her boyfriend is not officially married to her, but they have been together for twenty seven years. He has not paid child support, does not contribute to rent (he will not even work), and is abusive towards her and the children (when the children were younger). When she calls the police department in fear for her safety, they tell her that there is nothing she can do since her boyfriend receives mail at the home. They will not remove him from the property, or arrest him for domestic violence, unless they, "catch him in the act", in which, when it takes place, by the time the police arrive there, he is, "finished beating her". in fact, whenever she calls the police regarding anything, they rarely appear or follow through because her sons are public enemy number one in the city. regardless of that, they are neglecting to serve and protect, yes?

My daughter will be 9 next month and when I get with my husband she was 3 months old. We have never told her that she was adopted by him, but in the last few weeks this lady that we know has mentioned it to her a few times. Now she hasn't questioned us about it, but I feel we should tell her before she hears it from someone else. My husband is upset that I want to tell her because he said he sees her as his own child and doesnt want to tell her. I've made the decision to tell her and I just dont know how to go about doing it. Has anyone had any situations like this or did this happen to you and how did you handle it.

My reasoning for telling her is that if she does find out from someone else I think it'll be better she hears it from us and with her being so young I dont think it'll affect as much if she was in her teens.

moved back in together. After two years of me not seeing or talking to my mother in law and her only seeing our children (which she denies) once in two years she has gone on a rapage and has had the police out to our house 4 times in the past week. She called CPS and claimed we were neglecting and miss treating our children. CPS came to our house and investigated and found the alligations to be false!! Now she has slapped my husband with a restraining order full of false allegations. I dont know how to deal with all of this and if there is anything I can do. Any suggestions? Police and CPS are on our side so far and my husband is fighting the restraining order but what if her behavior continues? Might I add she lives in the same neighborhood and us!

... it's sad that there aren't more serious religious/spiritual questions and answers in this category? There seems to be more bickering between the Christians and the Atheists than real conversation about religious issues. We don't all have to agree - in fact, wouldn't it be a boring world if we did? - but there's just so much disrespect and talking down to each other. Surely we're more intelligent than that?
