It is possible that your goldfish has air in the belly. (this is caused by swallowing air when going to eat their food. It is very common, especially in goldfish. You can alleviate this by submerging their food in the future.) To deal with the problem as is, put some frozen peas cut in half or fourths into the tank and see that the goldfish eats them. Most fish are unable to digest the air in their bellies and the antioxidants in the peas with help dissolve the Oxygen. Once the air dissolves he should start swimming normally again. This condition is not fatal, but can make the fish stress if it goes untreated and the stress can be fatal. Good luck with your fish.

Most likely has a swim bladder problem. First thing you should try to do is a water change and see if that helps. Be sure the temperature is similar to the tank water temperature. If he's still eating, you can try feeding it a pea split open. Sometimes that will also help.

He has Swim Bladder Disorder. Try fasting him for a couple days and feed him a couple deshelled peas. What kind of food do you normally give him? If he has to suck them from the top of the tank trying holding it under the water so he doesn't suck in the air. And if its pellets let them soak a bit so the air comes out.
Also test your water. Some times high nitrAte can cause a fish to float if they are sensitive to it and make sure the ammonia and nitrIte are always 0.
He could be a gonner though, sorry.

Probably swim bladder. Other causes could be a problem with the tank. Did you cycle it first or just put him in? Test your water and make sure it's within acceptable paremeters.

Your fish is in a bowl of water on a round planet floating through space. How can it be upsided down?

It's going to die soon. That's what gold fish do. Just flush him down the toilet when he stops living.
